"I-I like hanging out with you too. . ." Cassie replied, a slight stammer in her voice as she looked towards Lilith and smiled.

She half-smiled and kissed Cassie’s cheek before going back to her

computer.

Cassie leaned against Lilith's shoulder, pulling out a book and beginning to flip through it. She slipped her glasses back on tried to focus on her book, not her sudden rapid heartbeat.

"Do you, uh, want to go out tonight? Maybe around eight to that Japanese bar thing…?" Cassie asked, pushing herself up and blowing locks of hair out of her face. The proposition had sounded better in her head.

“Sure,” she said, turning and smirking at Cassie. “I might be late, or early. I’m not going to be on time. The reason why is complicated.”

"Oh, that's fine," Cassie answered quickly, a big smile lighting up her face. She hadn't really expected Lilith to say yes.

“Can’t wait,” she laughed, kissing her forehead. “Your smile is absolutely beautiful, by the way.”
