Lost my Marbles (Fantasy RP) (OPEN)

Ellis rolled his eyes. "C'mon guys let's just get going." He started up the stairs.

Kirin started coughing. “Damn, it’s dusty up here.”

“It’s dusty everywhere.” Luciana said.

Ellis pushed the door open. "Huh. It's smaller than I thought."

“It’s a nice attic.”

“It’s dustier up here,” he said, fake glaring at her. “Yeah, kind of. We might run out of space.”

Ellis plopped the box down and glanced around. "I think it'll fit…"

“Am I allowed to put the box down?”

"Obviously when I put mine down I intended for you to do the same."

“Okay okay geez.” Luciana said, putting her box down instantly, sighing. She rubbed her arms.

Ellis walked over to a small door in the wall and opened it. "Oh! A dumbwaiter!"

“… you’re not going in it right?”

Ellis raised an eyebrow. "Maybe….." He stuck his head in the shaft. "It goes up higher than this…."

“Isn’t this the attic? There shouldn’t be a floor higher than this…” Luciana said, still rubbing her arms, I can’t feel my arms..

"Yeah. Trippy." Ellis smiled. "I'm gonna get on."

Valia looked up. "Maybe it's not an actual attic. Maybe it's just roof space."

“Ellis no.”

"Ellis yes." He climbed in and grabbed the rope. "I'll send it back down if you wish to follow."

“As if.” Luciana said, rolling her eyes.

Ellis mocked saluted and yanked on the rope. The box creaked and groaned.

“Don’t die.”

“Maybe it leads to the roof.”

"I'll try not to." He disappeared up the shaft. His arms felt like they were going to fall off by the time he reached the top. "Whoa…." He gasped, nearly losing his grip on the rope. "Guys….get up here." He called.

“Why would anyone build something to go to the roof?”

“I don’t know, sitting on roofs is fun,” he shrugged, walking over to the dumbwaiter and pulling himself up. “What’s up there?” He called as he moved

"Jars of marbles. Like, a ton of them."

“I really thought it’d be cooler than that.” He hopped onto the floor and pushed the dumbwaiter back down. “Wow, that is a lot.”

"Told ya." Ellis stared at the desks and shelves piled with the jars of marbles. The round window over the only desk cleared made the marbles gleam.

“Marbles? I am now tempted but I’m not going because going on a dumbwaiter is not a smart move.”

"How else are you gonna get up here?"
