Benji was on his third cup now. "So, Jason, what's your choice weapon?"
(I'm binging a show, so sorry f I'm not on)
Jason’s face suddenly became cold, “My choice of weapon?”
"Yeah, what did you die with?" he asked, genuinely curious.
“A… butterfly knife.”
"I understand both of those words separately."
“It’s a type of knife.” Jason explained.
Benji nodded and picked up his english book, popping on his reading glasses.
“What are you reading?”
"My book on English. I have much to learn. This is the latest copy, I believe." He stared at the passages, reading one out loud. “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.”
Jason nodded, he has such a good narrating voice…
"I believe that passage was from Dicken's "A Tale of Two Cities." he leaned across the table. "Am I right, Jason?"
“I haven’t read it…”
"Me neither. I just know the first page." Benji had the strong urge to bop Jason's nose.
“That’s…” cute “interesting.”
He tapped Jason's nose lightly and shrank back into his seat. "Do you want a tour of the house?"
“S-Sure.”
Benji got up from the kotatsu and took Jason's hand, leading him around the house. "This is my bedroom. I sleep there." he pointed to the mattress on the floor, covered in blankets and pillows.
“Looks comfy.” Jason said as nonchalantly as possible which was a bit hard since Benji was holding his hand.
"I know. It is." he led him to the kitchen. "This is where I cook."
”You can cook?”
Benji nodded. "Yes."
“Lucky! What can you cook?” Jason asked adoringly.
"I cook many things."
“But why do you need to cook? Don’t they provide you with all three meals here?”
