“Alright…” he took a step back, “Love you… talk to you later?”

Tara nodded. "Love you." She whispered. "See you tomorrow. "

It took a lot for him to just walk away, it took a lot for him not to kiss her or walk her to her door or go in to make sure everything would be okay. He sighed softly, “Right. Tomorrow.” He reassured himself walking to the car slowly.

Tara wanted to turn back, to run over and kiss Darren before she disappeared into her apartment. But she didn't. She walked back to the apartment silently and knocked on the door quickly, biting her lip to hold back her tears.

He drummed quietly on the roof of his car as he watched her, at the very least, he wouldn't leave until she was inside.

Abby got up and opened the door for Tara. She could tell her friend was near tears without her even having to say anything. "Tara? What's wrong?" She saw Darren over her shoulder and waved.

Darren waved, a concerned look covered his expression. He needed to know things would be okay.

Abby pulled Tara into a hug and whispered in her ear, "We need to talk, okay?"
