She sighed " I'm not leaving again… unless you want me to"
He shook his head. “I don’t want you to leave but I don’t want to be controlling either.”
She smiled gently as she leaned up and kissed him.
He sighed softly and returned the kiss tenderly, not wanting to agitate any of her injuries.
" I'm okay" she said
“You’re hurt.” He said kindly. “You should rest for a bit.”
" honestly it doesn't hurt" she said
He chuckled a little. “Last time I was in the sun long enough to start steaming, it hurt pretty bad.”
" well…I'm… different" she said looking At her feet quite ashamed of it
“I know.” He said, tilting her head up and giving her another gentle kiss.
She kissed him back gently but passionately
“I love that you’re different.” He assured her as he pulled back, still just barely an inch away. “I guess I just need to trust you to know your limits.” He sighed.
She sighed as well " I hate that I'm different" she said
“Why?” He asked gently, wanting to comfort her and ease her worries.
" Everything I hate it…I hate myself" she said
He gently wrapped his arms around her in a comforting hug. “Please, tell me. I want to help you.” He said genuinely, knowing she most likely wouldn’t believe him if he said he loved everything about her, even though he did.
" I don't know…I feel ugly. .. hideous…like a mistake" she said
He shook his head. “You’re not ugly and you’re definitely not a mistake.” He told her. “I think you’re absolutely beautiful. You’re perfect. You can call me biased if you want but that’s how I feel about you.”
" how am I perfect or even beautiful" she asked
He gave her a loving smile. “How are you not? You’re amazing. Kind, sweet, funny, strong, stubborn, brave, selfless and you deserve to be treated like a queen.”
She shook her head " I'm a vampire who can shift into wolf bend light and see the future" she said
He nodded. “And I think that makes you even more amazing.” He told her. “Someone who deserves to be treasured.”
" No one ever treasures me.Ly, no one values me" she said
“I will. I love you. And everyone else is a fool.” Lysander told her.
“Hey, watch it, Ly.” Henry quipped. “I value her friendship. And I’m sorry for whatever I did to make you feel that way, Bets.”
She ignored her best friend resting her head in the crook of lysanders neck
Lysander smiled and gently picked her up, taking her over to a chair.
She head did not move from her spot in his neck
Lysander chuckled and sat down, letting her sit on his lap.
“You guys want some coffee?” Henry asked with a small smirk as he got a couple cups down.
Betty nodded a bit against his neck
“Two cups, please.” Lysander smiled as Betty’s movement almost tickled.
Henry nodded. “What about for you, babe?” He asked Tyler.
