" Nope " she said kissing his nose.
He chuckled at the sweet gesture and ran his hand down her arm.

He smiled ruefully, shaking his head. ”Never thought I would be something good in anyone's life or that I would find someone so wonderful once I became a Vampire.” he admitted.
she wrapped her arms around him hugging him tightly.
He gently returned the hug, resting his head on her shoulder.

He sighed contentedly and held her closer.

He sighed happily, brushing some of her hair back. ”Betty?”

He bit his lip, a bit nervous. ”We don't have to talk about this now if you don't want to. But I feel like I should ask if you understood what Charles meant earlier.”

”About what will happen to you once we're married.” he explained, not looking in her eyes. ”He was asking if you would stay human.”
Betty let go of him and backed up.
“I’m sorry to bring it up. I just wanted you to know about this. It's your choice. I swear I won't force you to do anything.” he let her go and looked at the floor.

He shook his head. ”So am I. I’ve been cursed for centuries and I am forced to hurt others at least a couple times a month. And that's the absolute minimum.” he sighed. ”Your powers aren’t dangerous to me. You're safe here as long as you want to be here.”
