Betty stood up walking past Lysander

”Betty?” Lysander asked softly, reaching out for her.

She looked back at him

”Is something wrong, love?” he implored, not wanting her to leave… especially injured as she was, and trying to get her to talk since she had been so quiet.

" she's not going to talk" tyler said

Lysander sighed at that and let his hand drop back to his side.

”Why not?” Henry asked gently, having taken some time to calm down.

"well she's gone through a traumatic experience it's common for her not to talk" she said

”Oh…” Henry nodded, understanding that.

Lysander took a step towards Betty.

Betty looked at him

”Please stay.” he begged softly, taking another small step.

She looked down at the he ground

”Please…” he tried again, reaching out to take her hand.

She closed her eyes

He felt his throat close up at what appeared to be a refusal, but didn't move as his eyes started to sting.

She didn't look up and didn't open her eyes

Lysander let his gaze fall, now looking at the floor as he tried to control his new ability since he didn't want the cold to make her leave sooner.

She gently reached out to his fingers

He looked up quickly at her and gently tried to wrap his fingers around hers.

She looked down at thier hands as thier fingers Tangled together

He smiled softly and held her hand gently, hoping that this meant she would stay.

She ran her thumb over his knuckles

He took the last step towards her and gently went to wrap his arm around her.

She gently pushed his arm down but kept holding his hand

His small smile faltered a little but he nodded, honestly content to hold her hand.

She let a tear fall and land on his hand

He looked at her lovingly and gently raised his hand to wipe away the tears on her face. “Don’t cry, my angel.” he whispered.

She pulled her head away afraid he would touch her eye and be disgusted

He pulled his hand back a little at her reaction before he reached her again, deliberately touching under her eye. ”I love you. Very much.” he said softly and sincerely.

She reached up going to push his hand away

He smiled softly and ran his thumb across her cheek.
