”No need.” Evan answered, walking into the room. ”I came as soon as I heard you wake up.” he said softly as he knelt next to the bed. ”What’s wrong?”
Lysander was a little disappointed that he was unable to help but continued to hold her hand comfortingly.
" my head is killing me everything hurts" she said tears rolling down her cheeks
Evan frowned a little but nodded. ”I see. Do you need your medicine?” he asked.
She nodded wrapping her arms around him
Evan gently hugged her. ”Alright.” he whispered.
"make it stop Evan it hurts" she cried
”I’ll get your medicine.” Evan told her, gently kissing her forehead before standing up. ”I’ll be right back.”
She whimpered and continued crying as he left
Evan kissed her hand before he left quickly.
”I’m still here, my love.” Lysander said, still holding her hand and gently gave it an affectionate squeeze. ”I know it hurts but it’ll be alright.”
She took her hand away from lysander and noticed her hand looked and felt burnt
As a human, Lysander shouldn't have any of the abilities he had as a vampire… though he may have had a higher body temperature than normal. ”Angel, what’s wrong?”
She shook her head looking away
”Don’t shut me out.” he begged. ”I know I can't do anything right now, but I still want to help you somehow.”
Evan returned to the room, holding the loaded syringe of Betty's medicine.
She turned towards Evan and pulled her sleeve up
Evan gave her a small gentle smile and sat on the bed near her. ”Close your eyes, Betty.” he whispered softly. ”Remember what we did last time? You told me about New York.”
Lysander sat up a little and watched quietly.
She nodded closing her eyes
”Alright.” Evan said, gently taking her hand. ”Where are we this time?” he asked with a smile.
" New York still always new York" she said squeezing his hand
”Why? Have you been there before?” Evan asked gently.
" No it's just a place I've always wanted to be" she said
”Maybe we can all take a trip to New York sometime.” Evan suggested. ”Who knows, you might just end up being on Broadway.” he smiled.
She smiled softly but kept her eyes closed
Evan smiled a little at just seeing her smile and leaned forward, gently kissing her lips. Partly to help distract her further, but mostly because he just wanted to.
She kissed him back gently
Lysander was practically irate as the two kissed. His hands were clenched into tight, white-knuckle fists as his heart pounded in his ears. Before he had to turn human again, he was able to control his emotions better… for the most part.
Evan slowly separated from Betty and set the empty needle on the nightstand.
" you already did it?'' she asked
”Yes.” Evan nodded, gently rubbing her arm.
She smiled softly
Evan smiled back.
Lysander grit his teeth and laid back down, digging his nails into his palms. The only thing really keeping him from hitting Evan right now was the fact that he could barely move because of his injuries.
She layed her head on Evans shoulder
