Elijah watched as the girl rose her eyebrow at him, silently judging him. He rolled his eyes and walked off, back towards his lake, whistling and fiddling with his necklace as he walked.

@Book_Lord24

(okay chase had the idea that Olympia is the king's ward, so she's kind of adopted)
Olympia slipped inside, waving off a maid who fluttered to her side.
The King waved her over, raising his eyebrows at her barely-hidden limp. "Did you fall down?"
She shook her head, sitting down next to him. I saw a weird guy by the gate today."

The king frowned. "Who was it?"
Olympia sighed dramatically, rubbing the wound on her leg. "That's the point, I don't know!"
"Olympia." The king's tone was hard and cold. "Tell me what they looked like. It could be a spy for all we know. He's not going to be some prince that comes riding in and finding your parents, understand? You are my ward. Tell me what you know."
Olympia flinched. "He was just a teen. Since when are teenagers spies?"

Eli was bored. It had been 3 hours since he saw the girl, and that had been the most recent interesting thing that had happened that day. Normally there was something else. Eventually he just decided to go into town.
He filled a small vial with the water from his home, it was about the size of his pinkie finger. Not enough to be suspicious, but enough to make sure he didn't die. He wrapped a wire around the vial, and attached it to a cord around his neck.
Elijah walked through the forest, idly whistling as he went. Most of the plants parted to let him pass, as his river was their water source.
He reached the main gates of the lower town, everything bustling with colors and activity. He took a deep breath.
Yes can't you smell it. He thought to himself. Smells like gossip and politics.
He smiled and began to visit the stalls, making small talk with the locals.

The King frowned, waving and dismissing Olympia. She stood up, heading towards the closet and taking a cloak before heading outside. Although she wasn't technically a princess, people liked to treat her like one, and she really just wanted to find that stranger. Heading into the lower town, she shied away from other's glares and judging looks. Perchance cloaks aren't in fashion during June… she pondered as she wandered around the stall. Finally seeing the strange boy, she ran up to him.
"Hey! You!" she announced, running towards him and grabbing the weird jar he wore around his neck. It was filled with dirty river water, and most of it spilled out.
The boy swore loudly. "What the Hell do you think you're doing?" he shouted, desperately trying to catch some of the falling water.
He swore again, grabbing Olympia by the arm and dragging her (not too nicely) towards the gates and onward.
"If I die, it's your fault!" he hissed semi-aggressively, continuing to drag her until they reached a river. He quickly dipped his hands in the water, sighing and sitting down.
"You're hurt," she stated.
"No, really? I didn't notice."
"Why?"
The boy sighed. "It's a long, boring story."

@Book_Lord24

Eli sighed. "It's a long, boring story."
"Well, I've got time." The girl said. She sat down in the grass next to him. He put one foot in the water and sat on the bank next to her. He then noticed her clothing. Way to expensive to be a regular village girl.

@Book_Lord24

Eli heard footsteps approaching. The shouts of soldiers. Oh, damn it.
"Actually, you don't have time."
The girl perked up and looked over towards the approaching guards. While her back was turned he disolved himself.

@Victoria

(I'm still in this RP, I'm just waiting till my character can fit into the story.)

@Book_Lord24

No he did not set himself on fire. Being a river god came with certain useful abilities. Eli dissolved himself into a torrent of water and entered his own river, and re solidified at the other side. The girl turned back and gasped when he wasn't there.

@Book_Lord24

The racket that the guards were making became louder. The girl scrambled to her feet and swung around, and eventually found him, standing on the opposite side of the bank. Then the first guard broke through the tree's. The girl watched as he dissolved into water once more and sped down the river, out of sight.

The guards shouted at her. "Olympia!"
She didn't turn, still staring at where the boy had disappeared.
"There was a boy. He- he- there's something different about him. Weird eyes, dark brown hair. Wearing a cloak-thing. Find him," she said, sighing and quickly plaiting her hair into an easy side braid before lifting the hood of her cloak and escaping through the small forest to a small cliff, where she sighed and dusted off her clothes. She could see (and hear) the guards trampling around, trying to find said 'mystery boy.'

@Book_Lord24

Elijah could go just about forever without reforming, if he was in still water. But a rushing river? Millions of colors flying past your vision at the speed of light combined with the feeling of weightlessness? Disorienting was putting it lightly. He had to reform every once and a while, because if he didn't, he could pass out and most likely accidentally drift into somebody else's river, or end up three kingdoms away.
Eli reformed again and leaned against a tree, breathing heavily. He had to get farther downstream to his main body of water. The shouting of the guards got louder, they had spotted him. Crap.
Luckily, 90% of the dryads (plant and tree nymphs) within a quarter mile radius were indebted to him, as his river and lake are their main source of life. He was good friends with all of them, and they're more than willing to help him out.
Soon the guards found themselves blocked, tripped, and smacked in every way possible, as the forest was literally fighting against them. The dryads gave him plenty of time to catch his breath and speed down the river once more. Once he was far enough away, he re-solidified and peered into the trees.
"Thank you so much." He addressed the dryads. A slight pixie-like girl with brown hair and luminescent purple eyes peered at him from behind a tree, blending in perfectly with her surroundings. When Elijah's eyes landed on her she blushed and giggled, then was gone with a gust of wind flying through the trees. Elijah chuckled and resumed his usual place, guardian of the water, only seen when wanted.
