James didn't seem to hear as Bree shouted his name, so she tried again. "James! Hey, James!"
Medieval Roleplay?
Multiple thoughts flew through Addie's head, perhaps stealing the apples wasn't the best idea, she should have just told the woman, but thieving was one of the only things she was good at and she doubted the woman would believe her. Addie then realised she had been staring off into space for quite some time now and struggled under the man's grip once more. "T-they're.." How could she put this lightly? "The apples.. they are poisoned."
James heard his name being called in the distance "I'm Over here!" he called back without taking his eyes off of the thief. taking her words into account he went into her bags and withdrew an apple, he inspected it slowly then brought it to his nose to take a whiff. His parents being as over bearing as they had been when he was younger had made sure he studied and memorized the look,, effects and smell of every poison, even the rarest most undetectable ones. She was right it was poisoned. He quickly got off of her and helped her back to her feet.
"James, what are you doing?" Bree asked as she reached him, the girl following her. "And do you know what happened to her apples?" she asked, gesturing to the girl behind her.
Adeline brushed herself off and stood before the man expectantly, not entirely sure why, but she felt the need to stay around these people.
Drina watched the scene unfold, totally silent. She heard something about poisoned apples. How could that be true?
Adeline turned to the woman who had originally bought the apples. "Sorry 'bout that ma'am, when you dropped your apples I took one, didn't think it'd do any harm. Later on, when I bit into it, I realised it was poisoned. Didn't want you to drop dead so I did the only thing I could think of.. steal 'em." she looked down, stabbing the earth with the toe of her boot.
Bree looked strangely at the woman who stole the apples. "You ate a poisoned apple and it didn't harm you?" she questioned. "Who are you? Matter of fact, who are you?" she asked the other woman.
Drina looked at the two women, her eyes calm. "I am Alexandria." she said softly. Then she turned to the woman who had taken her apples. "Thank you for that noble deed that you preformed." She nodded in both the women's directions, and went back to picking up debris.
Adeline chuckled nervously, "My name is Adeline, but most just call me Addie. I'm just a thief, I mean no harm. I'd stolen one of her apples when she dropped them earlier, but when I bit into it, it was poisoned. See, I've been poisoned many times before so I've built up quite a resistance to 'em so it doesn't affect me as much as it should. And.." Adeline began to feel faint, perhaps the poison was stronger than she had thought it was.. The young woman stumbled a bit, before moving to lean against a nearby tree.
James was amused as he watched the women talk. But it left his face as Addie stumbled and leant against the tree. "Are you quiet sure you're alright?" he asked taking out his water holder and offering it to her.
Bree watched wide-eyed as Addie stumbled and fell against a tree. "Why don't we take you to a doctor? I can get you help quickly," she offered.
"Yeah, probably just a little bit tired. That's all." Adeline brushed the feeling off. She watched as the man reached for his water holder and offered it to her. As much as she would like to accept his offer, Addie had been told many, many times to never take drinks from strangers. She looked at the man suspiciously before her eyes clouded over and she felt herself slip from her upright position. She had fainted.
(i'm done for the day, sorry, feel free to move my character around as you will - I'm fainted after all o.O)
"Addie?!?" Bree shouted. Looking to James she said, "Pick her up and follow me. We need to get her to a doctor. Fast."
James was startled at Addie's sudden fall, but did as he was told. He scooped her light body into his arms and ran after Bree.
A few minutes later, the group arrived at a small building. The sign above the door read "Smithy's Apothecary: You Hurt it, We Heal it."
Bree walked in and warmly greeted the older gentleman behind the desk with a smile. "Uncle Smithy! It's so good to see you!" She walked over and embraced him in a hug, which he returned with a smile on his face.
Smithy seemed to then notice the body James held and led them into a back room where he told James to put down the body, he did so with care.
Drina watched everything unfold. She didn't follow them to the doctor. It was her fault. She didn't want to be there.

"So, what happened here?" Smithy asked Bree as Addie was laid on the table.
"Uh, I think she was poisoned," Bree answered, looking to James and Drina for confirmation. When they nodded, she continued. "Yes, she was. She bit into a poisoned apple (I'm just realizing how cliche this is, lol), but she said that she'd built up an immunity to poisons, so I don't know why she would have fainted."
Smithy nodded, then muttered under his breath, "Poison, eh? Let's see which kind." He bent down, opened Addie's mouth, and smelled her breath. As soon as he smelled it, his head shot up. Eyes wild, he demanded, "Somebody grab the blue and gold vial on that shelf and give it to me, quickly."
Drina quickly did has he asked. "What is it?" she questioned quietly.
