Luke cocked his head. "Well, my dad is the one who taught me to sail. Mom's out of the picture, she left when I was 7. Uhm…I enjoy sailing, of any sort." he squinted at Aegir. "If I tell you that I like fishing, are you going to be shocked and horrified, since you're…you know. Half fish?"
Mermaids? (O/O) (Closed)

"Oh gods no, how do you think us merpeople survive?" He laughed leaning towards Luke a bit, "We aren't actually fish at all! We are closer to whales and dolphins than we are to fish…" He shrugged, playing with the squishy sand beneath him.
"Ohh, alright." Luke grinned at him, and bumped Aegir's shoulder with his. "Well. I like fishing, then." he chuckled softly, smiling at the merman beside him.
group
"Interesting.." He mumbled, dropping the sand from his hand, washing his hands off in the water. "Well, both my mothers are fierce guards for the royal family down in our kingdom…" He whispered rubbing his hands over his arms, attempting to warm himself up.
"Although I feel as if they are a bit disappointed with the fact that I won't be following in their footsteps…" Aegir sighed, staring down at his tail, "I've always had a passion for healing others though, and caring for the children." He finished, a small smile on his face as he thought of all the kids he would play with after finishing his work for the day.
Luke nodded a little. "That's cool." he replied with a smile, looking at Aegir. "And hey, even if you aren't like…mega warrior dude, you still saved my life. Which, granted, they…probably wouldn't appreciate, but I do."
group
"As I said before, anyone would've done the same if they had been in my place." The boy stopped, turning to Luke as his eyebrows furrowed. "What were you doing out there by yourself anyway? That's not very safe…"
"Well, the forecast didn't say anything about a freak storm, so…I was just out to take the boat for a spin, and…the storm blew up. I've gone out alone before and been perfectly safe; I figured it would be the same way this time." he shrugged.
group
"Well, don't do it ever again or I'll-" He paused, struggling to come up with a good threat. "Just don't do it again!" He finished, crossing his arms over his chest and sticking his nose up in the air.
"Or you'll what?" Luke asked teasingly, leaning closer to Aegir and pushing a strand of hair out of his face, squinting a little. "What'll you do to me?" he asked.
group
( yO is he pushing a strand of hair out of Aegir's face??)
(nonono his own face….unless you want it to be Aegir's face?)
group
( Lmfao I really care…I just got kinda confused. I'll keep it the way you wrote it )

Aegir blushed when he realized how close they had gotten to each other. A pout still on his face as he attempted to intimidate the larger male.
"Or I'll…I'll let you drown!" He whined, sticking his tongue out.
Luke stuck his own tongue out in return. "Ah, I see." He replied with a smirk, looking at Aegir. "But what if I'm not in the water?"
group
"Then I'll have to-Uh-" He continued to grow flustered, searching his brain for a good threat, "I'll…send the sharks after you!" He suddenly exclaimed, a small smirk growing on his face.
"Sharks, with LEGS!" He exclaimed, throwing his arms around.
"Riiiight. Can these…sharks with legs get onto boats?" Luke questioned, smirking again and leaning even closer, one eyebrow raised. His brown hair was flopping into his face.
group
"Maybe- I mean, Yes! Yes, they can." He corrected himself, his smirk widening, "In fact, they can EAT an entire battleship in one bite!" He whispered, deepening his voice for dramatic effect.
Luke let his eyes go big, staring at Aegir. "No!" he whispered back, hiding his smile. He was enjoying this. Sitting in the shallows with Aegir, talking back and forth.
group
"Oh yes. I should know, one ate me!" He joked, nodding his head. He gestured for Luke to come closer and whispered in his ear. "In fact, I DIED."
Luke's eyes went wider, and he looked at Aegir. "You did?" he asked in the same light, joking, teasing voice. "But you look perfectly alive to me!"
group
"That's what I want you to think!" He said, nodding his head as he spoke. "I'm really a GHOST!" He yelled, wiggling his fingers in Luke's direction.
Like smirked a little. "Oh? Can I do this to a ghost?" He asked. He reached over and ran a finger down Aegir's shoulder, still smirking at him.
group
Aegir couldn't help but tense a bit, his face burning as he struggled to come up with a response.
"I- well, uh..No?" He squeaked out, eyes wide with embarrassment.
Luke laughed a little, that smirk still there on his face. "Well, then therefore, you can't be a ghost!" he exclaimed, smiling and laughing.
group
The merman let out a defeated whine, falling back into the shallow water, throwing his arms over his head.
"Fine, you got me." He complained, hiding his red face from view.
Luke smiled, watching the merman. "Mm. Good." he replied.
group
Aegir sighed, sitting back up, shaking the saltwater from his black hair.
"How do you do that?" He asked, a small pout on his face. "I wouldn't be able to tell the difference."
"Do…what?" Luke asked, confused by what Aegir meant. He cocked his head a little bit, smiling still.
group
"Know I wasn't a ghost!" He exclaimed, throwing his hands up in the air, " If someone told me they were a ghost I wouldn't be able to know the difference!"
