Maddox watched carefully, occasionally glancing up at the humans as well. He never stayed up for long, though, always retreating back to the water soon after.
Merpeople (Open!)
Moxiey imagined things about him. His name. His age. His home. The more she thought about him, the more tempted she was to do something stupid.
I recognize that look… Maddox pulled Moxiey down again. "Do not do anything you will regret."
Moxiey frowned. "I won't."
"You look like you're about to try to talk to the human."
"What?! No, I… I was just…" She stuttered, blushing embarrassedly.
"Remember, humans destroy things they do not understand. They may seem nice now, but they would kill us as though we were simply fish."
Moxiey pressed her lips together. "Marcus wouldn't do that."
"Marcus?" Is that the name of the human? He wondered. How would she have found out?
"Oh… I… I gave him a name…" she explained.
"Hmm… I was wondering how you could know his name. But we need to go. It's too dangerous."
"No, I want to stay," Moxiey insisted.
"Moxiey…" Maddox looked nervously between his sister and the water. "We will be seen!"
"You don't know that," she replied quietly.
"It's not safe…" Maddox moved back a bit, bumping into the side of the ship.
Moxiey, looking hurt, reluctantly gave in to get brother. She slipped off the side of the ship and spiraled into the water.
Maddox swam after Moxiey quietly. They made their way back to the cave that they lived in with their adopted older sister. (Or is she not in this one?)
(Not yet, @A-n-x-i-e-t-y is really busy. They'll be on when they can, I think.)
(Okay)
(Should we wait for them?)
(I guess?)
(Okay!)
(May I join? All cool if not)
(Yeah, sure! Just fill out a quick template.)
(May I?)
(Yep!)
(Hhhhhhh y’all already started)
(Yeah. We stopped to wait for you ;) Right before Moxiey almost got into huge trouble.)
(Ohhh okay thank you. I won’t be on too much today bc it’s the last day of school and I’m attending graduation and stuff)
(That's perfectly alright! No stress to be on,I know that most people are spotty or gone completely over the summer, so don't worry about it!)
