Modern Day Fantasy Romance (closed but stalkers are welcome\ <3)

She looks over at him holding in a smile, and sits up looking at the pond
"he's nice.. Yet protective… It can be annoying sometimes… "

His smile falters, gut clenching, heart dropping. The boy is promptly met with an urge to dig himself a hole and hide for the rest of eternity. Managing to force out a few words, Maverick confirms, "Boyfriend?" Of course she would have one, you idiot. Look at how perfect and alluring she is. He doesn't dare to look at the girl, keeping his eyes trained on the pond with its two fish happily swimming around each other.

Beatriz rolls her eyes. "Fine, no thanks to you," she says, feigning annoyance as she takes a bite of the cinnamon roll.

"I think it was all thanks to me," Lure replies snottily, melodramatically preening herself. Her pencil flies across the notebook, taking notes on the second day - only in Algebra. Doodles litter the pages accompanied with short snippets of writing, and she sketches out a big heart in the center of a freshly flipped page. In the heart, she writes: B+R.

Incredulously, Maverick turns to CC, not knowing what to believe. Taking a wary breath, he offers: "If you really don't have a boyfriend, I could… be yours?" His natural flirty charm is peppered in the question but alongside the gravity of his proposition. He sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Or, dating? Boyfriend and girlfriend is too fast, sorry."

"No, it's okay," he says, downtrodden. Shaking himself, the boy lets go of her hand cautiously, not wanting to push more than he already has. Maverick looks away, disappointment brimming in his novice eyes. This is why you stick with flirting.
But this isn't her fault, it's his. "History, right?"

Beatriz reaches over and swats Lure on the arm. "You're such an idiot," she whispers, sighing. She was writing a poem on the corner of her notebook, and frowning because she couldn't find the right words to rhyme with "Canada."

"Mhm," absentmindedly the girl continues her doodles, adding more hearts and in a red marker: Rytriz.
She then pulls out her notebook, its worn blue cover hiding her perspective of the word. Everyone's in denial. It's a rom-com movie playing in front of me. I plan to raid the kitchen of popcorn and occasionally throw some at the screen, Lure pens, smirking at her analogy.

Beatriz rolls her eyes, trying to focus on her work. The environment isn't what she's used to, and having other people there is distracting. "Can you…. don't?"

"Anytime," his hoarse voice almost pleads, as he tenderly tucks the new flower in his hair. Gratefully the flirt accepts her warm hand, clasping it like a promise. Hope falls back into his naive eyes and the boy guides CC to their first class - late, again.

Returning her smile with a wink, Maverick admires the way she moves, acts, blushes for the entirety of History. No one prohibited him from his enormously obvious crush on the girl, and he'd take advantage of what he got.

(Holy shit, I missed a lot. Can someone please give me a basic rundown of what happened while I was gone?)

(Ok so far - first block - Beatriz and Lure are in Algebra while Ryuu, CC, and Maverick all take history. Then I think everyone has Science: Chemistry, together, on the second block. You can just pop Draven in anywhere.)

Draven brushes his hair from his face and scowls up at the sky. It is too sunny. He pulls his hood over his face and sits down under the tree, resting his arms over his face.

(Now? I mean sure, I'll go along with anything as long as no one else has objections..?)
