Oh. The unspoken word rests at his lips. A- dare he call it- impressed look crosses his face at her display of confidence. Letting the girl hide behind her hair, Maverick decides not to push it too far. "It's not something that needed to be admitted," he says, smirking.

"Well….." She turned around, tapping her bottom lip as she thought. "It was to me!" She says twirling back around and continued walking. They soon came across a whole bunch of food markets, restaurants and such.
"Anyway what should we eat?"
His eyes narrow infinitesimally at her back. “You’re cute,” he states firmly, finally letting his eyes wander the plethora of restaurants. He chews on his tongue, asking, “What’re you feeling?”

"Ah! Uh…what!? N-" she was too embarrassed and flustered to finish her sentence then Maverick said something.
"Oh uhm……something sweet or something spicy… No in-between. Are there any ghost peppers?" She looks up to him with a little head tilt, actually wondering if she could find any of those around here.
Maverick’s expression morphs into one of shock and disgust, a stark contrast to earlier. “We’re finding lunch,” he emphasizes, “not a deathbed.”
