“Okay. I’ll be right back with a change of clothes. Call me if you need anything,” Lucy said said a gentle tone. She stood back up and stepped out of the bathroom, shutting the door softly behind her. Now, she knew she should have some old clothes around somewhere. As she walked down the hall, she noticed Oliver digging a hole in the backyard.
“Oliver, what are you doing?!” She exclaimed as she stepped out onto the back porch.
Oliver’s head snapped up, a bit of dirt somehow spread across his cheek. “You told me to bury the body.”
“I know I did, but here? What if someone saw?” She said, voice hushed. “Just finish up and come inside. I brought home the blind girl.”
“Hold on, you what-?!” Oliver started, but Lucy had already slipped back inside.
After finding a smaller pair of clothes, that would still be big on Calla, Lucy knocked on the bathroom door softly. “Calla, it’s Lucy. I have your clothes.”
