Cadence held her breath, eyes wide open as usual, the saltwater not bothering her in the slightest.

When Milo saw where the Falling Thunder had ended up, he wanted to scream. And he did, despite Atiya growling at him to shut his mouth.
The good thing was that they were within swimming distance of an island. The sun was in the middle of the sky, but the island was clear. The island was pretty and photogenic despite the trash littered around.
But this island was so small that he could practically see the end.
"Why this one?????" Milo groaned. "All I ask for is some good food!"
Atiya chuckled. "Says the shifter. Can you not just eat the fish around here?"
"Yeah, well, fish is boring," he said. Milo pouted, staring out at the sea.
Becca rolled her eyes as she leaned on the ship's railing.
Cadence sighed, running a hand through her shirt white hair to shake some droplets. “Our mission, Captain?”
Atiya started to speak as she walked towards the waterproof bin tucked and tied into a corner of the Falling Thunder. She pulled out a towel and ran to the front of the steering wheel to address them all.
"My Storms, our first course of action will be to locate adequately nourishing land," she said emphatically.
"However, we cannot sail at our full speed, for that would arouse suspicion. We will most likely reach land in over a month, so I hereby permit access to the kitchen and food supplies."
Atiya sighed, biting her lip for a second while she thought. After that, she stepped down to face her crew at eye level (not including Milo and Molly, of course).
"Now that my speech is over," Atiya said, grinning, "we're going to be practicing our sword fighting skills."
"Yessssssssssssssssss." Cadendce pumped a fist, unsheathing her gleaming rapier.
"Alright, then Cadence," Atiya said. looking at the girl's obvious enthusiasm. "Would you like to spar me first?"
Jo hung back to watch this all go down.
“He’ll yeah.” She punted her rapier at Arita.
Atiya chuckled, pulling out her own double swords. Milo started a countdown. "Three. Two. One. Go."
Atiya lunged, the grin still on her face.
Cadence dodged with a toothy grin, aiming for Atiya’s legs with no actual intent to hit her, just to catch her off guard.
Connell and his ship were nearing their destination. He could make out the small island in the distance but a movement caught his eye. A small ship was lazily drifting toward his ship. It seemed they hadn't been spotted yet. Connell called for his first mate and she appeared behind him. "That ship looks too old to be from this time. Let's try to get closer. Get out the gear, you and I can swing onto that ship to see who they are." She saluted him once before backing away to carry out his orders.
Jo caught sight of another ship nearing them in the distance.
"Uh, I think you should see…" she said, her voice drowned out over the loud sparing.
The navigator on Connell's ship waved him over. "We are close enough if you want to board now. It seems they haven't seen us yet, but proceed with caution." Connell nodded at him before shouting striding over to the other side of the ship to start gathering materials. He strapped his sword onto his back before gathering some more weapons. His first mate appeared silently by his side and grabbed a cleat. She fastened it securely before throwing it. She led and the way, and the two silently made their way across easily landing on the other ship. They hadn't seemed to have gained anyone's attention so far.
"Hah!" Atiya said, grinning, as she sparred with Cadence. The satyr really was getting better, and it made her proud as a captain. As an opponent, she felt a little bit of fear.
She got lost in the beautiful sounds of the party of the two's clashing weapons.
"see…" someone said, but Atiya didn't want to lose this fight. She reminded herself to check what the person had said - but not right this second. She was busy.
Milo, however, noticed Joanna's worried stares out towards the ocean. He sincerely hoped it wasn't a squid, for then Atiya would go crazy and get the crew to hunt it down for another dinner of her Spectacular Squid Salami Sushi.
When he saw the warship, which was approaching quite quickly for a ship of WW2, he quickly started to sweat.
"Hey… hey, captain! Cap! tain! Hey, look over!"
Atiya frowned but didn't stop her fight.
Milo pulled up his sleeve and wondered which of the animals tattooed on him made the most noise. Eventually, he decided on a horse, which was unusual and would attrach attention.
"NEIIIIIIIGGGGGHHHHHH!"
Atiya pushed Cadence's rapier down ("my condolences, Cadence,") and glared at Milo.
"What is it?" she asked, exasperated.
Connell and his first mate stepped into view of the pirates. "I think he is talking about us." He said to the girl in the center. He wanted information, but didn't want to give any away. "And what are you doing in these waters?"
Jo pointed to out to the fast-approaching ship.
"We have company!" she exclaimed.
"Oh," Atiya said. The first thing she did was pull up her two swords again.
"Greetings," she said, with a thin pirate smile. As the Falling Thunder cruised alongside this other ship, she attempted conversation with their also-young captain.
"What do you want?" Atiya said, only mildly irritated. "And who are you?"
"I am Connell Ruane. Captain of Mystical Fate,"He pointed at the large ship heading towards them, "and sent by the British Government I am here to inquire if you have a permit to be in these waters." Connell easily lied.
Atiya fell into an easy smile. What period was this - WW2? Right. A few random names from this era came to mind, and she smoothly caught them to use in her lie.
"I'm afraid that we've been sent out on an emergency mission by Admiral Cunningham, so we don't have the permit, he does. We do have full privilege, however. Thank you for asking."
Connell exchanged a look with his first mate. He had no idea who Admiral Cunningham was, but he sounded important.
"Well, I guess we can allow you to be here." He tipped his hat. "But you do know about the fines, right?"
"Hmm?" Atiya asked, and before she could control it she blinked, looking blank. She wondered if he'd seen it, but she smiled cordially. She could see Milo tense in the side of her vision. No matter. She was ready.
"And who do these fines apply to?"
