"Yes, it's been brilliant. And honestly, I love the city, so I can't wait for my next film here."
New York RP (just jump right in, no outlines)
"What is your favorite scene from your movie?" Adelaide flips to a clean sheet, popping the lid off of the pen with her teeth, and jots down.
"Actually, I enjoyed the dancing scene at the end. We only had twenty minutes to film it and I tripped halfway through, which was honestly hilarious. And they didn't even edit it out, which was hilarious."
"British Actor Trips: How Britain Doesn't Dance." Adelaide says out loud as she writes down her title idea for the article.
Kelly held back a smirk.
(Pops in heh I'm from New York. leaves)
Arian walked in the office just to be greeted by the receptionist, who looked fairly new. "Hello, my name is Arian Druzzik. I beleive i need to talk to-" he squinted at the paper in his hand, " A miss Adelaide, i cant see her last name, my paper got kinda wet." he held it up for the receptionist to see. "but could you point me in the right direction?"
"Oh… Miss Adelaide is right over there," said Nattie pointing at her "She's in an interview right now but she'll be done in a minute. You can sit down in the lobby while you wait and I'll come get you when she's free." Nattie explained as she motioned to the lobby.
"Amazing." Arian gave his best smile. "Thank you for your assistance."
Nattie smiled back at him and turned to check if Miss Adelaide was done her interview. She wasn't… and she looked very enveloped in it. Nattie swiveled in her chair to face Arian "What's Adelaide going to interview you about?" Nattie asked as she rested her elbows on her desk.
"Erm, well, it is not really an interveiw, but more of a, introduction? See, the thing is I'm new. It's my first day on the job, and I was told to get my assignments from her."
"Oh, that's so cool… it's kind of my unofficial first day of work, too. You see… I used to be Adelaide's assistant here… I'd get her coffee and stuff like that. I just got hired by the bosses around here to be the receptionist. So, like, I technically just got promoted but it's a completely different job… so… hehe… I'm talking too much, aren't I?" Nattie giggled nervously. She cleared her throat "So… what's the job? Y'know… the one you got…"
"I am a photographic reporter. I used to work for the US Weekly, but i decided to make a change. You know, see the other coastline."
"Coolcoolcool" said Nattie in a rush "hey, so I'm trying to get some people together to go get some coffee or maybe, like, a beer or something after work. You want to come?" Nattie asked.
"You know, that would be great. Thank you. And to be honest, I really don't have any friends here so I would love to meet some more people."
"Arian?" Adelaide read the name off of a messy list.
"Oh, it sounds like she's ready for you." said Nattie motioning for Arian to go into Adelaide's office.
Adelaide sipped her tea, analyzing the man walking towards her. She made notes in her mind about his appearance.
"Adelaide. Adelaide Rucker." she set her tea down gently and reached over to shake his hand.
"Arian Druzzik. A pleasure."
"Let's start with a tour, shall we?" Adelaide grabbed her notebook and stood up. She quickly straightened her desk before heading towards the stairway.
"Of course." Arian looked around curiously. The place was well furnished with a modern touch. Tasteful.
As soon as they walk into the break room, Adelaide's cell phone rang. "Natalie! Can you finish the tour? Mr. Dale is calling. You know from the lead about the man who climbed Mount Hua, or whatever. If the Washington Post beats us to this story…" she huffed. "Hello? Ms. Rucker, New York Times head of assignment reporters at your service." She scurried to her desk, leaving Arian alone in the break room. "Also get the boss on the line," she whispered to Nattie.
Natalie rushed to her desk and hit a button on the machine - putting their boss on the line. Then she turned to Arian and smiled "Hi, so I suppose I'll be giving you the rest of the tour. So she's shown you the desks and offices, right? I think the only thing that's really left is the boardroom and the bathrooms - the bathrooms are over there and the boardroom is other here." said Nattie as she motioned for Arian to follow her and walked into the main room and then off through a door into a larger hall type space that served as their boardroom.
(Wow, I've been gone for ages… is this rp dead?)
(I don't think so?)
