"Ugh, brute force is never the way I do things. John, feel free to shoot him or something but I do not intend to brawl."

Orion continues. "To the newcomers, all present are from different dimensions, and said dimensions are frozen until such a time as we return or perish. Hope that helps."

Jamie looked over his dagger. "I'd rather not."

"Lovely, more time to work on those murder cases." John said to Sherlock sarcastically.

"What. The. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck…" She whispered

Zoe looked unimpressed by the other students and decided to take matters into her own hands. She felt the dark anger in her soul and let it rise up to her outside. She let the dead come up and then she attacked Shadow.

Orion observed the surrounding dead with an air of detachment. When one mistakenly goes for him, he very deliberately turns it back around towards Shadow. "Go on then."

Melody charged

Shadow allowed the dead to attack him. He fell in pain as the shadows removed the dead off of him. He then pushed Melody back to the wall with the shadow.

Shade closed her fists. She wanted so badly to help him, Damn it!

She let out a small "Oof" and got back up to try again.

John looked at the scene, worried. He should probably put his medical skills to use.

Zoe drew out some shadow balls and started throwing them with more dead attacking. She enlarged a crack on the floor.

Having moved silently, Orion places a comforting hand on Shade's shoulder. "At ease. Getting yourself involved would lead only to punishment. Let him prove his worth to the others."

Shadow fended everything off with the shadows his eyes now fully purple. The pain from earlier doubled in tenfold. He thought to himself, Now you leave me alone? Fine then

"Shade help!" he cried out.

That was Shadow's voice, not his. Shade looked and Orion before standing up and shouting, "EVERYONE STOP!"

She darted through, aiming a punch for where ever she could reach. Mostly because she has no plan.

Zoe didn't stop. She en-forced her attacks, making them a lot more painful.

Shade watched as they didn't stop she whispered in a pleading voice, "Please just stop."

Jamie looked at her. "Why should they?"

Orion hates doing this. "Freeze." The room froze, no movement emanating, people caught mid-lunge. "He is not the same as before. I believe him bound here much the same as we. Blink if you understand what I am telling you."

"It's not him," Shade whispered, "It's the real Shadow. He doesn't have as much control or power as him. Please just hear me out."

Jamie blinked, annoyed.

Orion nodded to Jamie, and he was released from his spell. "Anyone want to be a stubborn git who won't listen to people?"

She blinked slowly.

(He.)

"I'm not that stubborn," Jamie muttered.

Cicada blinked.

Orion nodded to her as well. "Get up Shadow. Breathe. You're not dead yet."

Shadow gasped for air, eyes still purple. Shade ran over to him and gave Shadow a hug. She whispered to him, "I'm sorry. So so very sorry."

Jamie chose not to point out the "yet" in that statement.
