“I think it’s just concern disguised as anger wrapped in a healthy dose of suspicion,” Kaz said with a shrug. The car slowed to a stop, and Kaz looked up through the window at the apartment outside

“I’m sure it’ll be fine, it was an accident,” Vaughn mumbled. He forced his eyes to open despite how tired he was. He could have fallen asleep in the car if he had really felt like it.
Argo parked the car, stepping out and opening the doors. “Okay, lovebirds, lets get you two inside so Cas can patch you up,” he said, leaning down to scoop Kaz up as he began to walk towards the bar

Vaughn pushed himself up with a grunt, following Argo to the bar slowly. He could walk fine, though his calf throbbed sharply where there was a gash across it, a rip in his pants from it.
Thorn thought a second, "Anything with fish, obviously. I have a list back in my room, there's too many to remember. So I wrote them down."
"We'll do all-you-can-eat seafood next time we sneak out," Lana said. "I'm sure there's a buffet around here, since there's a beach nearby."
Thorn smiled, "That sounds great! I feel kind of bad you have to pay for everything though."
"It's no problem!" Lana said. Then she reconsidered. "Well, I might be slightly broke. Don't worry though, I'll make cash somehow."
"I'll help out," Thorn said, "I'm sure I can do something without being in the light. Maybe work with computers or something."
"I don't think I'm staying at the hospital for that long," Lana said, "so once I'm out I'll stick around and make cash with my usual business. My aunt lives nearby."
Thorn looked over at her, "You're going to stay? But why? Do you have a reason to?"
"I don't really have anyone to go back to." Lana shrugged, glancing away. She gazed out the window, avoiding eye contact.
Thorn looked down, "Oh right. Sorry."
"No, it's okay," Lana said quickly, snapping her attention back to Thorn. "I don't mean to be a downer." Knew I should have taken two Happy's instead of one, she thought miserably.
Thorn looked back at Lana, "I know. I'm the one that brought it up."
Luka grinned, running a hand through his hair. "Seriously? When do I get to watch it, man?"
Lana forced a smile, changing the subject quickly. "Anyway. Have you tried the salmon rolls yet? They're really good, too."
Thorn shook her head as she grabbed one. She bit into it, "Yep. Great like everything else here."
"I'm really impressed with this restaurant," Lana said. "For the price, it's really, really good."
Thorn nodded, "Yeah. We really lucked out didn't we."

Argo opened the door, keeping it open for Vaughn as he deposited Kaz on the counter. Cas came out of the kitchen, a look of concern and irritation on his face. “I am going to kick the ass of the fucker who ran into you two, and then I’m gonna enchant your bike to kick their ass again,” he spat
"Yup," Lana agreed. The waitress brought over the bill just as she finished her food. "Ready to head out?"
Thorn stood up and nodded, "Yep. Can't wait to watch a movie. It's been forever since I've been in the theater."
"Let's go," Lana said, standing as well and leaving the money, plus a tip, on the table. She lead the way back out of the restaurant and onto the sidewalk.
Thorn followed her out onto the sidewalk. She let out a slight awe at the city during the night. She had never seen it like this, "Wow."
"You know, the hospital's kinda rude to not let you go out at night," Lana mused, "since you can only go out at night and all. I get wanting to close the hospital at a certain time, but they could just let you enter and exit through the emergency room."

Vaughn headed into the bar and leaned against the counter with his good hand. “I didn’t get a good look at the guy, but it was a pretty good sized truck. I’m sure the bike is wrecked,” he commented with a heavy frown.

Luka grinned, running a hand through his hair. "Seriously? When do I get to watch it, man?"
"Whenever you want I guess," Axel shrugged, his face turning red when he realized what the words implied. A small, nervous laugh escaped his lips as he looked down, rubbing the back of his neck embarrassingly. "I-I mean. . ."
Thorn shrugged, "They offered when I first got there. I was still bummed out about not being able to see the sunlight, so I said no. They never bothered to offer again, despite the fact I said 'I don't know. Not right now'."
Luka turned to face Axel, coming closer and hugging him. "I like hugs."
