Vaughn repeated the action to the other hand, smiling at Kaz as he did so. The coffee machine beeped so he let go and stepped away, getting out two mugs and pouring the hot liquid into them. "What do you want in your coffee?"
"Creamer, please. There's a caramel one in there somewhere, I think," Kaz said, adjusting his glasses again as he smiled lovingly at Vaughn. He swung his legs idly, watching Vaughn with adoration in his eyes

"Right," Vaughn said with a nod. He took out the caramel creamer, pouring a bit into Kaz's steaming cup of coffee. "Be careful with this, it's hot," he reminded Kaz after he stepped back over to him.
"Babe, I'm not two," Kaz laughed, leaning up to peck Vaughn's cheek affectionately. He blew on his coffee for a moment, waiting for it to cool a little before taking a sip. Unfortunately, with his luck he managed to sear the tip of his tongue with a small, ridiculous-sounding noise of pain

"I told you to be careful," Vaughn hummed with a slight chuckle. He gave Kaz a peck on the lips as he waited a minute or so before taking a small sip.
"I did!" Kaz whined indignantly. "And now the tip of my tongue is burnt," he added, though the words were slightly slurred from the way he was sticking his tongue out while he spoke

"You didn't wait long enough," Vaughn pointed out. "Come on, you look so silly like that. You're fine," he added on, taking another chance to peck at Kaz's lips while his tongue was still out.
Kaz giggled a little, continuing to stick his tongue out in a way that was halfway between dorky and adorable. He started humming ridiculously to himself, dancing in place a little like a complete dork

"Now what are you doing?" Vaughn asked Kaz with a laugh. He liked when Kaz got carefree like this, it was absolutely adorable to him.
"Being adorable," Kaz said innocently, stilling for a moment to take a sip of his now cooled coffee before returning to dancing in place. He absolutely loved doing things like this. If it made Vaughn happy, by god, he'd keep doing it

"I can tell," Vaughn chuckled, taking a long drink of his coffee before going back to watching Kaz. He gave Kaz's thighs a squeeze and pressed his lips to the side of the other's neck for a moment with a smile on his lips.
Kaz gave a hum of enjoyment, his head tilting back a bit so Vaughn had easier access to his neck. He loved when Vaughn got affectionate like this, and he loved it even more when it lead to them on top of each other

Vaughn continued for a moment longer before he stopped to take another drink of his coffee. "It's decently early in the morning, are you really already so needy?" he joked with a small smile as he looked at the other.
“Oh fuck off,” Kaz said with mock offense, sticking his tongue out at Vaughn before taking a slow sip of his coffee. He swung his legs absently, wincing a bit as he knocked his ankle against the cupboards

Vaughn heard the soft thump of Kaz's ankle and he looked down with a frown. "Are you okay? Does your arthritis still act up?" he questioned.
“Oh, I’m fine. Would you pass me the tall orange bottle of pills next to the sink?” Kaz asked, pointing to said bottle as he took a sip of his coffee

"Yeah, sure," Vaughn said as he reached over and grabbed the bottle of pills before handing them over to Kaz. "Those just painkillers?" he asked, taking a drink of his cooling coffee afterwards.
“Yeah, they’re supposed to be a daily thing or whatever,” Kaz answered, setting his coffee down for a moment before taking the bottle. He opened it and dumped a few pills into his hand before taking them

"Do they help much?" Vaughn asked, watching Kaz take the pills. Should Kaz be taking that many? Sure there had to be a dosage. But maybe however many he took was the right dosage.
“Yeah, they help. I’ve been taking these ones for…two years?” Kaz said, pausing momentarily to squint at the label on the pills. “I don’t want to bother Cas with anything stronger. He already goes through enough trouble getting me what I’ve got.”

Vaughn's lips pursed as he nodded his head slowly. "At least they help. Maybe I can take something from the hospital when I go to get my next dosage of medication," he offered.
“No, it’s fine. I wouldn’t want you to go out of your way like that.” Kaz flashed him a reassuring smile, leaning up to peck Vaughn’s cheek before taking a sip of his coffee

"Are you sure, Kaz? It wouldn't be too much of a problem," Vaughn said, running a hand through his hair. He smiled at the kiss that Kaz gave him, and he leaned forward to kiss Kaz's forehead.
“I’m sure, babe. I’ve got all the mess I need for another month at least,” Kaz said, smiling happily at all the affection. He leaned a bit into Vaughn’s touch, a warm, fuzzy feeling working its way into his chest

"Mm, that's good. You tell me if you need anything, okay?" Vaughn asked, wanting to be sure that Kaz knew he could come to him for help.
“Of course babe,” Kaz said, pecking Vaughn’s cheek before returning to his coffee. He downed the rest of it, reaching over and setting the empty mug in the sink

"Good," Vaughn said with a light smile. He finished the rest of his coffee soon as well, setting that aside. He moved so he was standing next to Kaz instead, turning on the sink water so he could begin to wash the empty mugs.
“Oh, you don’t have to do that babe. I’ve got it later,” Kaz said, sliding off the counter carefully. He walked behind Vaughn, standing near on his toes in order to rest his chin on Vaughn’s shoulder

"No, it's fine. If I'm staying here, I should help out," Vaughn responded, smiling at Kaz's movements as he cleaned the mugs with a sponge and dish soap now.
“Guess I can’t stop you,” Kaz said, a little laugh escaping him as he wrapped his arms loosely around Vaughn’s waist. He pressed a few kisses to the back of the other’s neck, smiling against the skin
