“Me neither,” Marla admitted, her grin only widening when she realized that Gwen would have left a pick lipstick mark on her cheek.

Gwen blushed as she pulled away, seeing the mark. “You might want a makeup wipe…”

“Leave it,” she hastened to say, “I want another reminder that I’m yours.”

“That was so cheesy.” Gwen smiled brightly. “You’re adorable, you know that?”

“Hey, this is my first relationship in almost four years,” she protested, cheeks aflame, “I think I can reserve the right to be ridiculously cheesy.”

“Only if I get to be sickeningly cheesy too.” Gwen laughed, her hair now loose around her shoulders.

"It would never sicken me, but go ahead," Marla replied with a small laugh, reaching forward to run her hands through Gwen's fluffy hair.

“I’m sorry, my hair is a mess when I take it out of a braid.” Gwen was a bit embarrassed by her hair. She pulled it back quickly.

Marla quickly pulled Gwen's hands away. "What on earth are you talking about? It looks gorgeous like this. And in a braid and any other way you put it. But—wow."

“No, no! No charming your way out of this one.” Gwen shook her head, trying to avoid blushing.

Marla gently took Gwen's hair into her hands and pulled it over her shoulder. "No charming," she promised, "Only telling the truth."

“I swear it’s your goal to embarrass me as much as possible.” Gwen grabbed ahold of Marla’s hand and squeezed it.

"Don't pretend that's not your goal as well," Marla answered, raising Gwen's hand to her mouth and kissing the back of it.

“Okay, maybe just a little!” She teased playfully.

"A little?" Marla asked dubiously, kissing Gwen's hand a second time.

“You’re gonna be the death of me.” Gwen groaned, beaming at Marla.

Marla laughed softly. “Is that a good thing?”

“It’s tragically amazing.” Gwen pulled Marla into a hug. “I have no idea how I’m supposed to let you go tomorrow morning…”

Marla sank into the embrace, smiling to herself. "We'll see each other soon… sleepover at your place to watch Disney movies, remember?"

“Yeah, I know.” Gwen sighed dramatically. “But that’s in forever from now!”

"Well, then I guess we'll just have to meet up sooner for a… lunch date or something." Cheeks aflame, she added onto the statement under her breath. "Or a makeout session…"

“Maybe both?” Gwen raised an eyebrow at her playfully.

Macha would have buried her face in Gwen's shoulder had it not been covered in a fabulous makeup job.
"That– That, um, sounds great. But… we don't have to wat until then for the making-out part…."

“Then what are you waiting for?” Gwen smiled coyly, already leaning in towards Marla.

Marla met her halfway, adrenaline shooting through her the instant their lips touched. Her hands found their way to Gwen’s waist, tugging her closer.

Gwen felt like electricity was crackling trough her veins as soon as Marla’s lips touched hers. She pulled her girlfriend closer, wrapping her hands around Marla’s back.

Marla deepened the kiss, acting completely on instinct when she rose to her feet and pulled Gwen with her. Her lips never leaving the other girl’s, she walked Gwen back against the wall and pushed her gently against it.

Gwen was completely breathless, smiling against Marla’s lips.

Marla didn’t hesitate to kiss her harder, her eyes drifting shut as her hands tightened around Gwen’s waist.

Gwen gasped a little, kissing Marla back roughly, smearing her lipstick.
