Genevieve bent down on her knees. "Don't worry. I won't tell. Promise." She told him.

Scipio hesitated, but did change back. He looked up at Genevieve, his hair disheveled and his eyes spiked with fear.

Genevieve smiled, moving so she was sitting cross-legged on the floor. "Let me guess. Slytherin, either second or third year, learned Animagus spell early, loves using it to get out of the common room at night." She guessed.

"Er…. sounds about right. Y-You won't turn me in, will you? I swear, I was going to register myself soon anyways!" Scipio couldn't make eye contact with Genevieve, so he looked down at the Slytherin crest on his robes.

Genevieve laughed. "Of course I won't turn you in. I'm not a tattle-tale. Besides, I can't really say anything…I was about to sneak into the library…."

(Yo Nat can I join? I hope I'm not late. All the other ones I've been in start without me)

"Well, that's the main reason I use it… it's helpful for exploring as well. I know all the secret passages." Scipio looked up. "I suppose this doesn't help the reputation of my house, does it? For breaking the rules, the law, and skulking about the place…"

Genevieve frowned. "Not everyone thinks like that, y'know." She told Scipio. "Slytherin isn't a bad house, and you aren't a bad person."

"I usually try to help the reputation. Not every Slytherin is evil. Take Professor Slughorn, for example. Merlin himself was a Slytherin! His name is used for awards and everything!" Scipio drew his knees up to his chest, looking at Ginger.

"Um, s-sure. Should I… transform? Technically speaking, I'm not allowed to be out this late. Fourth years, however, can, and I can just pretend to be your cat or just a random cat."

"Yeah, sure." Genevieve replied, standing up.

Scipio transformed back into the kitten and looked up at Genevieve expectantly. After all, he hadn't a clue how to get to the library from here.

Genevieve grinned, putting Ginger on her shoulder. "Follow me."

He nodded and scampered along beside Genevieve. He couldn't quite keep up at a trot, so running was really all he could do.

(I'm just reading Hufflepuff headcannons rn to give Genevieve some memories of things she has done in the past or things that she does regularly and stuff and may I just say they're so cute and I stumbled on some Slytherin/Hufflepuff friendship headcannons and my feels can't right now
