Lucille shrugged, “Be more optimistic.”

"Sorry…" Tyson said flopping down on the blanket. "its hard for me…"

“It’s fine-that’s why you have me!” Lucille said gleefully.

"Yeah." Tyson smiled. "Thanks for not giving up on me…"

“I would never.”

"Good." Tyson sighed. "I wouldn't have gotten this far without you."

Lucille chuckled.

"I'm being serious."

“Okay okay, thanks I guess.” Lucille sighed.

There was a pause. "Hey Lucille…"

“Yea?” Lucille asked, sitting down.

(Wait your name is Jo)

(What no.)

"Uh…" Tyson wasn't sure what he wanted to say.

Lucille raised an eyebrow and gestured to continue.

"Uh…nothing."

Another pause. "What are we gonna do in the morning?"

“Live.”

"Are we just gonna continue to wander around until we die or what?"

“We won’t die.”

"Do you know that?"

"Exactly. So its best to be prepared."

Lucille nodded, looking up at the sky.

Tyson drifted off, thinking about how they would get out of this desert.
