"Same here."Nikki said, reaching the bottom.

"Can I have a flashlight?"

"Yah, don't lose it though." Nikki said, handing him a flashlight.

"I won't." He said absentmindedly. He clicked it on and shined it directly into the darkness ahead. "Ready to go?"

“Mhmm.”

Are say there, "What about me?!" She yelled.

(Let's assume she made it tho the ground.)

(Bla bla bla she makes it down….)

"Alright." Tyson took a deep breath and started walking.

Leonara ran up to Tyson. "Check out this bioluminescent moss!"

"The moss is glowing!? How's that happening Ms. Smarty Pants?"
(Nikki gives nicknames to all and is snarky. Please don't be offended.)

"Well, it's a matter of evolution. You see, single celled beings…." she blabbed on and on, nonstop.

Tyson held up his hand. "Alright, that's really interesting, but does it have any useful purposes? Medicinal?"

Lucille continued walking, looking at the ceiling, walls, and ground.

"That's what I thought." He turned and caught up to Lucille. "Make sure you watch your step, dude."

Nikki groaned. She should have known better than to ask for an explanation. Especially from Leo.

Lucille halted just before slamming into a wall. “Right…” She said.

"Yeah, it does go right." Tyson winked and turned down the next tunnel.

Lucille chuckled, then continued walking, avoiding running into walls.

It kept getting darker the further in they went. The walls dripped and harsh stalagmites and stalactites appeared. Tyson edged closer to Nikki and Lucille. "How far do you guys think this goes?"

"The center of the earth."

Tyson rolled his eyes. "Yeah right. Pretty impossible. Just ask Miss Genius back there. She explained it to me yesterday." He jabbed a thumb back at Leo.

“But then this tunnel would go on for what would seem like forever.” Lucille said.

Tyson fumbled for his compass. The arrow was spinning wildly. "Crap! This thing doesn't work." He hit it a couple times. "Come on!"

“If it’s doing that then we’re surrounded by magnets.”

"Horseshoe magnets." He mumbled stuffing the compass back in his pocket. "Okay so we don't know which way we're going. does anyone know which direction we cam in from?"

Lucille stayed silent, thinking. Then finally she hesitantly points to the right, “That way I believe.”

"Actually, I measured on my latimeter that this tunnel does go to the center of the earth! I need to take some samples!"

(that seems improbable. Sorry, I don't want that to be the story.)
Tyson gulped. "Are you sure, Lucille?" He turned and looked back. He realized there were several tunnels that branched off from this one. "Oh…crap…"

Lucille sighed, “Yep.”
