"I…" she was about to make a smartass comment but her lips disobeyed her. "No."
One on one based on this novel I'm currently working on (CLOSED)
Solace ate another cookie. “What’s wrong?”
"I'd rather not discuss it."
“Your so stubborn” she rolled her eyes and got up taking the cookies to the kitchen.
"I might talk about it later, just…. not now. Okay?"
“You know what we could do right now then?” She said, walking back into the living room.
"I know several things we could do right now, what do you want to do?" Jade asked.
“Hmm I don’t know. What do you have in mind?”
"Say what you wanted to do first, then I'll give a few ideas and we can vote."
“I didn’t have any ideas. I’m just bored” she said with a shrug and sat down.
"Well, we could go for a jog, go swimming, begin setting up a bio lab, make a DIY particle accelerator, explore the moon, read a book, anything really. What do you want to do?"
“Hmm. Physics activity, physical activity, smart people stuff, smart people stuff, more physical activity, sit in silence. Sounds boring” she said and thought for a moment. “How about this?” She leaned over and kissed Jade.
"Lazy bones. We're going to explore this place right now, so change into some long trousers made of reasonably thick material in case of ticks." Jade said firmly.
“I hate you” She grumbled and stayed put. “I just sat down.”
"Do you want me to drag you out there, or walk out yourself? Pick one." Jade said.
“Neither” She said bluntly.
"Drag you out, then." Jade said, picking Solace up bridal style and carrying her out the door.
“Jade seriously put me down” Solace said, trying to wriggle out of her arms.
"Nope. You need the fresh air just as much as I do!" she said, far to cheerfully than any normal person would be.
“I. Hate. You.” She said glaring at Jade. “Just put me down.”
"I thought you loved me!" Jade said in a mocking tone. "You're far too lazy, you need to get outside more!"
“But I’m tired! It’s been a long day.” She whined. “Your not wrong. But I hate you at the moment.”
"How can you possibly be tired, my girl?" Jade said in a playful tone.
“I had to deal with your crazy *ss all day!”
"Yeah, not helping. Besides, look at the beautiful wildlife around us!" she said, continuing to carry Solace through the trees.
“But I’ve seen more beautiful things” she said. “Put me down!”
"Nope!" she said, carrying her farther and farther away from the house. "There's something I want to show you!"
“Ugh. Fine. But then I’m going home and going to bed” she said, giving up.
"Fair enough." Jade said. She set Solace down and led her up a hill, where a magnificent sunset showered them with golden light. It was beautiful. "This can be our first date." she said, watching the sun disappear.
“Okay” She said watching the sun set. They stood on the hill until they were surrounded in moonlight. (I guess moons have moons right? Idk)
“I love the night sky”
