Vix nods slowly, keeping a steady gaze on the man opposite of them. Her breath was fearful, but she kept by Da'in and kept quiet. She glances at Da'in and nods slowly before going back behind him.
Will was staring at nothing when Joe came to talk to him. His hands were clenched and he was deep in thought. Memories whipped at him, demanding attention. But he couldn't. Vix was his little girl. He had failed as a father.
"Can I offer you some advice?" Joe walked up to the anguished Will.
"This way, then." Kýrios said calmly, leading them to a room with pleasant walls in a neutral tone, a light on the ceiling that illuminated the room comfortably, and a set of bunk bed with fresh, sky blue sheets of a strong, silky material. There was a dresser and a wardrobe, along with a grey desk and stool to sit upon. "I'll leave you to get settled. If you need anything, press that button on the wall," he gestured to a small button, "and if there is an emergency, the room will go into lockdown, with sufficient life support systems, although I doubt we would encounter such." he exited the room without another word. "I guess we should rest now, it has been a pretty long day, and if I'm remembering correctly, it was night when all this started for you so I'd assume you're exhausted." Da'in said.
Will jumps and sunlight exploded from his hand, stopping inches away from Joe's nose. "Sorry…" He eases and the sunlight goes away. "What advice specifically…"
Vix glances around the rooms and she felt a burst of homesickness. She places a hand on the desk and for a moment she could see her room in the back of her mind. She glances at Da'in. "Knowing me… I'm probably not going to get a lot of sleep… Something about them sets me off. I don't like the vibes they give off." She says softly, sitting on the stool.
"You know the hardest, scariest thing I've ever been through? It isn't aliens or robots or killer turtles (and yes that did happen, don't ask). It's parenting. You're scared for your kids 24/7. But that's kinda the point. And seeing them grow up? Even more terrifying. But you're also so proud to see them fly. And when you let them get hurt, or lost, or if they try and distance themselves, it breaks your heart. You feel like you've failed. So here's what I always do. I still try and protect them, but I also remember that you can't always do that. And I remember that my kids are strong, intelligent, and the most beautiful people in the world. And I'm still terrified for them and overprotective, but that's in the job description, so no worries." Joe smiled.
"Yeah, I guess. So, what do you think of this Kýrios dude?" Da'in asked. "He's a little weird, I guess, but it seems he knows the Doctor somewhat, and I think we're safer with him than anywhere else at this point."
Will glances at him. "I took Vix in. I found her on the streets, her parents nowhere in sight. She was shy, weak and unable to defend herself. When she got sick, she lost everything. Her sight, her strength… It's my job to take care of her… And I failed. My baby girl could die and I'm just sitting here when I should be doing something." He whispers.
Vix shakes her head. "That's exactly it. I don't trust him. Something about this all seems off, call me paranoid but I think the doctor and Kyrios have history we don't know about." She says softly. "And not good history at that."
"Oh my God… Da'in may seem tough, but he isn't a fighter." Joe's voice was brittle. "I'm so fucking scared for him." he said, close to crying.
"I dunno… he doesn't seem that bad… I mean, he did threaten to kill us if we tried anything funny, but it seems stuff like that is the norm here." Da'in said slowly, unsure.
Will looks at Joe and sets a hand on his shoulder. "They have each other, right? I'm sure they'll be okay…"
Vix shakes her head. "And yet why do I feel like we're bargaining chips?" She glances at Da'in. "The only reason he 'saved us' was because we knew the doctor." She folds her arms.
"I know, I just don't… don't want either of them to get hurt." Joe said.
"Yeah, there is that… but since he's trying to find the Doctor as well as us, he might be our best chance. I just don't really know." Da'in sighed.
(I'm going to sing at this youth group that my therapist is taking me to and I'm freaking terrified but also really excited. Any advice for how to be a bit less anxious? Also, how are you?)

Will nods in understanding before sighing and looking down. "What do we do now?"
Vix starts to pace, muttering things under her breath, her eyes glared down in concentration. "We need to warn the doctor somehow…" She mutters.

"Wait, er, Time Lords have a psychic… thingy. Maybe you could reach out to him with telepathy?" Da'in suggested.
"I don't know. Pray to any deity out there that our kids will be safe, I suppose." Joe said, sotto voce.
Will scoffs. "The gods only care if it suits their interests." He sighs and looks down. "They'll be okay."
Vix looks up. "Da'in! You're a genius!" She grabs his hands excitedly. "You're brilliant is what you are!" She smiles at him before straightening. "I could try and reach the doctor through telepathy!" She focuses before breathing out. Doctor?
"It isn't much… just an idea." he blushed, looking down. She had called him brilliant.
A sudden headache seized the Doctor. "Ah, oh, blimey, my head's a bit ooh. Sorry, I'll just pop out for some breeze, yeah?" he stumbled to the next room, and promptly collapsed onto a chair.
He stumbled across the rubble, climbing as high as he could to survey the carnage before him, spots of white flesh and ripped uniforms acting as markers for the dead beneath the ruins. And there he saw Vixianne. "What are you doing here? This is one of my memories, how did you get here?" he stuttered.
She looks around the carnage. Her eyes turn to the doctor. "Oh thank Hades. Doctor. This isn't a memory. Psychic powers remember?We need your help. We're in the possession of a man named Kyrios. Someone who is looking for you. We have suspicions but we don't know what to do." She explains as she walks to the doctor. Her eyes are wide with fear. "We don't know where we are, only that there's a woman named Ace and a sinking feeling about Kyrios." Outside of her telepathy, her physical body was tilting, beginning to fall. It was a lot of strain for her. But she had to do it.
"Hmm…. Ace, I know her. She's a little zany, but I'd trust her with my life. She's a good girl, even if I do disagree with her career choice. Now, Kýrios…. familiar name." the Doctor responded.
Vix noted that. Ace was trust worthy. She glances at the doctor. "He's a time Lord from what I can tell. And very powerful. But something about him sets me off. I don't like my gut feeling." She explains.
"Yes, I see. There's something about that name that I just can't quite place. Where are you?" he asked.
Vix shakes her head. "We don't know… It's difficult to tell." For a moment she focuses and a small ball of light appears. "Use this to find us… It'll get brighter the closer you get."
"Listen, don't do anything until I get there, alright? And Vixianne? I swear, if anything happens, if either you or Da'in get hurt, I'm going to tear that Kýrios man apart. Alright? Now stay safe, I'll be with you soon." And with that, the Doctor broke off the connection.
"Vix, are you alright? Vix?" Da'in asked worriedly.
Vix nods. "Be safe, doctor." She whispers. "Tell my dad it's gonna be okay."
She opens her eyes and collapses, groaning softly. That had taken a lot of energy from her. She looks at Da'in. "I'm back…" She mumbles.
"You should rest, you look a little pale." Da'in said comfortingly.
"Will, Nico, I've found your daughter!" the Doctor jumped up and shouted excitedly, shooting back into the room like a rocket.

She leans against his shoulder. "That sounds great about now." She smiled a little.
Will jumps up, Nico standing. "Is she safe?!" Will grabs the Doctors shoulders. "Is she with Da'in?" Nico asks, his eyes filled with worry.
"Both of those are a yes! Come on, we need to go now!" the Doctor said excitedly. "Hold up, Cousin. All of Gallifrey is looking for you, you know. Take it slowly." Innocet said.
Da'in helped her lie down onto the bed, then climbed into the top bunk himself. "Goodnight, Vix. Just tell me if you need anything." he said softly.
Vix smiles at him, cupping his cheek. "Thank you." She says softly, pecking his cheek in gratitude. She curls up, shutting her eyes. "I will." She calls softly once he was on his bunk.
Will was looking desperate. "So what now?" He asks. "And how do we find them, doctor? You haven't told us that. Where are they?" Nice asks, placing a hand on Will's shoulder.
"I don't know that, but your daughter left me something to find them with." he said. "Ah, and it was… okay, right, ah… he looked at his palm. There was a faintly glowing circle in the middle. "This. It'll get brighter as we get closer." he said.
Will and Nico glance at the circle of light in his hand. "What…?" Nico kisses Will's forehead. "I'm guessing Vix gave the doctor a tracking spell. He says softly, looking at the doctor.
