"…Alright, then. I won't disturb you." And with that, Pit fell silent for the time being.

The Doctor took out a bottle of small white pills. "Take two of these, hopefully the pain will stop. I'm not very familiar with your species. I don't even know what your species is. You might feel a little drowsy after they kick in, that's normal. I might need to increase or decrease the dosage at some point, though." he said, embarrassed.

"I'm… I'm an angel, but I'm not sure whether you really believe in that kind of thing. Susan doesn't, anyways. Are you sure these are safe for consumption?" Pit examined the pills curiously.

"I'm the Doctor, of course I'm sure." he said. Mostly sure. Fortunately they aren't harmful, at most would give a person a bit of an upset stomach for a few hours. he added in his head.

"Alright." Pit swallowed the pills as instructed and set the bottle on the side table.

Susan cleared her throat loudly and said, "So, Doctor, where do you plan to take the TARDIS next? Once Pit has recovered, I mean."
The Doctor replied, "Well, you know, here and there, I don't really know at the moment."

"You're welcome to take it wherever you please whenever you please. I'll be fine in no time. I'm sure some travelling couldn't make me much worse." Pit sat up in the bed, his bent wings hanging limply on his back.

"Yes, but you need rest." Susan said, using her most firm tone, which was indeed very firm.

"Well, I'll just be here, won't I? I won't be exerting myself at all. Don't worry about it. I'd hate to slow down operations because of one little arrow that's… happened to temporarily incapacitate me."

"This is a time machine. We can wait as long as needed." Susan told Pit whilst glaring at the Doctor.

Pit sighed, laying his head back on the pillow in defeat. He would follow orders whether he liked it or not. That was just how he was taught, after all. That was his purpose.

"Anyways, the TARDIS has a bit of a habit of taking us into danger. She's a bad girl, this one." the Doctor joked.

"Alright… how long will I be stuck like this, then?"

"Probably a week at most, two days at least." the Doctor said.

That's a while… oh well, I guess I've been through worse. Pit nodded, staring up at the ceiling. "Okay. Do you want me to do anything?"

"I don't want or need you to do anything at the moment, no." he said.

Pit nodded again and fell silent. Lucas looked up at the Doctor and Susan worriedly. "Is everything going to be alright? Should we leave him alone?"

"You don't need to worry, he'll be fine." she said.

"Okay…" Lucas glanced over at Pit, who was still silent. "We should probably let him be." He left the room.

The Doctor walked out of the room, Susan trailing behind him. "Doctors what's going on?" she asked.

Lucas stayed quiet as he walked out to the main area, allowing Susan and the Doctor to talk.

"Nothing is going on…." he said ominously. "Doctor, tell me what is going on now." Susan said, her voice turning more into a statement of how the immediate future was going to be. "Susan, you know fully well that won't work on me." he said. "It was worth a try." she replied.

"What are you two going on about? Everything's fine, isn't it? Pit's gonna recover, we didn't blow up the universe…"

"It doesn't concern you." the Doctor snapped, storming off.

Lucas glanced over at Susan, confused. "Is… is he alright? What's up?"

"I don't know. He's worried, though. I'm certain of that. Something happened that's really scaring him, and he doesn't scare easily."

"It's not Pit, is it? I thought the Doctor said he'd be fine in a week at most?"
