"No! No, no please don't." Eve said quickly, taking another couple steps forward to stop hm if need be before biting her lip nervously, "No fire… please." She looked from the bottle to Riley's face then down at the water.

"Fine, fine. Only because you're cute." He chuckled, bringing the bottle back and screwing the lid back on.
Turning, he tossed it back to the rock he was sitting on before, watching as it fell into the grass.
"Water and fire don't mix. But you're an exception now." He turned back to the girl, reaching over and patting her head slightly before retracting his arm.
"What's your name?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve crossed her arms and frowned a little when the other patted her head, "Eve… my name's Eve." She said, taking a step back into the water.

"Eve." He repeated. He raised his hand up slightly, a few sparks flying from his palm.
"Never thought I would actually talk to a water girl. At least for this long, they usually run by now." He chuckled, moving his hands so they rested in the pockets of his jeans.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"I would have if you actually thrown that gasoline into the water," Eve replied, wrapping her arms around herself, "I've met one other fire boy… that was not a fun experience."

"Oooh!" Riley placed his hands behind his head in a mimic relaxation. "Tell me about the experience, dear Eve. Sounds like a fun story!"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve frowned at Riley, "It's not a fun story. We met and even though I didn't like him, met up later and we pulled a few tricks each before he lost control and burned me."

"Would you be interested in trying that again with a better person?" Riley winked, moving and sitting down.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Depends by who you are referring to?" Eve raised an eyebrow but a small smile tugged at her lips.

"The one and only Riley here." He gave her little finger guns, a clear failed attempt at trying to be cool. "By all means, no one is better than me."

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve sighed and reluctantly, moved out of the water and sat down next to Riley, "I'll take your word for it."

"Good." Riley smiled at her. "You'll either hate me or love me in no time!" He laughed yet again, patting her shoulder before bring his hands back to his pockets.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve took a breath waiting, "Pretty sure I'm going to hate the fire." She said, bringing her knees to her chest.

"Fire isn't that bad. Takes some getting used to. Now you water folk can put out our flame, so don't do that to me, kay?" He was still smiling at her.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve nodded and returned the smile with a small one of her own, "Okay… I won't."

"Yay! I'm getting somewhere with a cutie!" Riley ran a hand through his hair, flipping it over to the opposite side.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Stop calling me cute." Eve said, nudging Riley with her elbow, "Are you going to get on with it because if not I'll just go back into the water."

"Is that really what you do? Hide away in the water all the time?" He stuck his tongue out at her. "Live a little!" Suddenly a small patch of land about the size of a nail lit aflame next to the water, but was quickly put out as a small ripple hit it.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve blinked once, twice before shaking her head, "It's not hiding. It's just taking comfort in a place I feel safe in which happens to be the water."

"Mm, I will still call it hiding." Riley looked up at the sky. "So far I'm no so bad, right?" He smiled. "I know there are rules, and its because water and fire don't mix that I wanna break the rules." He clicked his tongue.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Does talking to me count as breaking the rules, 'cause if not then what rules would you be breaking?" Eve asked, making a small bubble of water float up from the lake before she made it pop, then looked at Riley.

"Keeping in touch with another element for longer than needed. They try not to mix us up you know." Riley was still looking up, studying the sky.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve nodded, "Yeah, yeah I know. It's kinda stupid if you ask me… why can't we be friends with other elements. Yeah some don't mix but who cares."

"But that's the rule imma break." He smiled, finally looked back down at Eve. "Only if you're willing, cutie." He winked at her.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve blushed a little, "I mean… s-sure, why not." She smiled back with a small one of her own.

"Yay!" Riley carefully leaned over, hugging Eve. "I won't make any promises, but I will try with all my might not to burn you as long as you don't hurt my flame, water girl." He chuckled.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Eve rolled her eyes but laughed a little, "That sounds fair fire boy," She looked out towards the water and her smile turned into a grin, "Ever gone swimming before?" She asked, standing.

"Uh, no." Riley stood also, rubbing the back of his head. "I've only ever been allowed near water for so long so, no." He chuckled slightly.

@ElderGod-Carrots

"Come on then. I'm putting up with fire so you have to at least stand in the shallows." Eve said, giggling as she started wading into the water and humming quietly.

"Fine, fine." Riley smiled, kicking his shoes and socks off. Slowly he wadded into the water, really not caring that his jeans got wet because he could dry them out instantly after leaving the water. Sucking in a breath as he stepped into the liquid, he looked at Eve. "It's cooolldd! He whined.
