"Dang, I feel bad for you." He said, resting his head on the palm of his hand while his left elbow was on the table.

"It's not so bad, just makes you really tired," He explained.

"Then point one for Derrick." He said with a slight laugh.

"I guess so!" He said laughing.

"And point one for me?" He said, making it seem more like a question that a statement.

"For sure!" Derrick assured, "You can have 5 points."

"Wait, what? Why?" He asked.

"For being an awesome friend!"

"Thanks, then you get 6 points!"

"For being an awesome friend and for being wiped from drills?"

"For being a great friend, that I can trust with my life and for being wiped from the drills."

"That's sweet." He said trying to control his blush.

"Just saying the truth." He said, putting his hands up while smirking.

"I have something I need to talk to you about," Derrick said looking down at his hands.

"You can tell me anything you're comfortable telling me." He put his hands down, as his face turned serious.

“I really like you…When I look at you I feel nervous and excited in an unexplainable way and I would be honored if you would go out with me, but I don’t want to ruin what we have here. Our friendship means a lot to me Miles and I-I don't know, just please don't let this affect our friendship.”

He just quietly stared at Derrick in shock as his face started turning pink, then to red.

"I'm sorry," Derrick said noticing Miles saying nothing, "Maybe it was a mistake, sorry."

"I-It's not a mistake. I actually had feelings for you also, I tried to push them aside but it made it worse. I was scared I was going to be rejected, then I'd be depressed and everything, on top of that, I'd lose the person I trust the most."

Derrick let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding in. "Really?"

"Y-yea." He said, looking everywhere but him.

Derrick smiled, "So you'll go out with me?" He asked nervously.

"O-of course!" He smiled back, looking at him now.

Derrick's smiled widened, "Not gonna lie, I expected you to be creeped out and say no," He said running a shaky hand on the back of his neck.

"I would have if I didn't know you before you asked me." He said, fiddling around with his fingers undereath the table.

"You mean a lot to me," Derrick said blushing.

"Same here." He started blushing slightly
