Her smile widened. "Good! I told you I wouldn't leave until you did and here I am."
One on One - Romance - So very cliche because I need it right now
A shy smile crept onto his face. "Yeah, okay."
(any plot deepening ideas?)
(Hmm, not really. But you'll have to forgive me, I just got home from camp last night and I'm exhausted)
Footsteps from the back office surprised her and when she turned, there stood her manager. "What is going on out here?" "Max, I can explain." "You better! You're always causing trouble around here, I should fire you for this!" She went pale. "No no no! Please sir, I need this job."
(It's totally chill broski! I get it)
Jackson stood up, crossing his arms over his chest. "Causing trouble? Since when?"
"Since I hired her! I'm always getting complaints that she's harassing patrons and being loud. I'm about sick of it, Ivy!" She shrunk back, all yelling reminding her of a time in her life she'd rather not remember. She started to tear up, launched back into memories. Max sighed. "Pathetic."
"Hey, excuse me sir?" He stepped in front of Ivy. "First of all, don't talk to her like that! Second, she's the one who's getting harassed here!"
He scoffed, waving Jackson off. "Like you would know anything. I know my patrons, especially Jack. He claims she's always harassing him and giving him a hard time. He wouldn't lie to me."
"I just witnessed an entire harassment issue that proves it's all Jack and his buddies." He stood up a little His heart was beating fast. This day was too much for him. "Don't you have security cameras or something to check? You can even ask the police that escorted them out."
He shook his head. "No we don't. Jack is a reliable source and the security is under a non-disclosure agreement that forbids them from talking about scenes like this. Now if you don't mind, I have an employee to straighten out." Ivy shrunk back further, silent tears streaming down her face.
"And that employee is not Ivy. It's yourself. If you know Jack did nothing wrong, why are you so worried about checking the security cameras, huh?"
She wiped her tears and grabbed Jackson's wrist weakly. "Please stop. It's not worth it. He won't listen anyway." He glanced at her before scoffing. "Wow, she actually said something intelligent for once."
He didn't stop. "She's suffering harassment as your employee and you do nothing about it! Do I need to take legal action? Or are you going to look through the security cameras?"
"Jackson please!" She whimpered softly. She really didn't want to see him on the other end of Max's wrath like she had been many times before. It wasn't fun. Max took a breath. "Sir, I strongly recommend you leave now. Or I will have to force you to."
"Force me to?! All I'm asking for you to do is to check security cameras! If not, then I'll get the proper authorities to do so!"
She watched Max's jaw tighten and she knew she had to step in before Jackson got hurt. She stood in front of him, scared yet defensive. "Max, please. You swore you'd never hurt an innocent patron." He sighed. "For once, you're right." He grabbed her wrist and started pulling her back. "But that doesn't mean anything about you."
"Hey!" He detached him from Ivy and pushed him. "Back off! She did nothing wrong!"
He rolled his eyes with a sneer. "That's what you think." He grabbed her once again and pulled her to the back room, locking the door behind them. "Now, what to do about you." She gulped quietly, terrified.
"Hey!" Jackson ran in attempt to get to her only to be greeted by the door slammed in his face. He slammed his fist on the door. "Open the door!"
"Get lost! I'll give her back later!" He growled before turning back to Ivy, looking her up and down. She was trembling in fear, a stone dropping into her stomach. "For someone so inadequate, you've got quite the figure." She paled, knowing what he was thinking. "D-Don't touch me." Her voice was shaking and she couldn't help but stutter. He just laughed. "Hmm, I don't know. I think I will." He took a step closer and her heart rate shot up.
(sorry, stuffs happened)
"OPEN THE DOOR NOW!" He tried to kick the door, but nothing happened. He had little to no body muscle, but he wasn't going to give up. He took a few steps back and shoved his shoulder into the door.
It didn't budge. Everything inside of him was fuming. His insides we're about to explode. He needed.to get in there. To get her away from him. Away from here.
"Jackson, please. He's not worth getting worked up over. Amanda's probably worried about you, you should get home. I'll be there in a bit, okay?" Her voice trembled but she tried to stay strong. The more he fought, the worse it would get.
"No, I'm not leaving you!" He slammed into the door again. Nothing. No no no!!! He looked around for anything he could use. Across the room, he saw a.fire extinguisher. The handle. He ran as fast as he could. Just hold on for a second…
"Well, sounds like lover boy has given us a timer. So why don't we get started," He slammed her into the wall, one hand pining her arms above her head and the other gripping her hip tightly. "My darling~" She gulped. Jackson please hurry! I can't hold him off much longer! She only hoped he could hear her.
Fight back! Don't let him touch you! Please! He grabbed the fire hydrant and ran back to the door. One hit.
Damage, but the handle was still there.
She struggled to get her hands out of his grip but it was pretty much useless. He has my hands pinned, I'm stuck! But I'll try my best! He just watched her struggle for a minute, chuckling to himself before attacking her neck, much to her disgust.
Fight! Please just fight! The second hit and the door handle was off. He kicked the door open to see the scene. "GET OFF OF HER!!" He pulled the man off of her and stood in front of her. "GET OUT!"
Had he not been standing in front of her and therefore giving her a wall, she would've crumpled to her knees seeing as they were about to give out from shaking so hard. "You can't force me out of my own establishment! Why don't you listen to her and just leave? Clearly she knows better than to fight."
He took Ivy's hand and started walking off. He didn't want to deal with this man any more. He didn't want to see his face, but he knew he would. He planned to come back, but with the police. For now, he wanted to get Ivy home.
She was still shaking so hard that she nearly fell over when he tugged on her hand. For now, he just let them go but Ivy knew he had a plan. But she didn't have time to think about it now. She latched onto Jackson's arm, fighting back tears.
