Ryder wasn't the most sociable person there was. When he spoke, it was normally to curse someone out or he was being sarcastic. So how Theo managed to get to get him to go out with him was still a complete mystery to Ryder. Ryder hated associating with anyone really. Unless they were…his type of people. That's why he was a tattoo artist. He had dropped out of high school and he had a criminal record, it was unlikely he would be accepted to one if he wanted to go. But he was good at art so he applied to be a tattoo artist and here he was. So how Ryder met the sweet and shy Theo and got him to agree to go on a date with him, he didn't know. All he knew was that he was able to do so and it had gone fine so far, seeing as they were going on their fourth date. Ryder straightened suit jacket as he waited for Theo to answer the door. He didn't like wearing a suit, but for Theo, he would dress nice and take them out to a fancy restaurant.
Theo practically jumped out of his seat when he heard the doorbell ring. Pushing himself up, he stumbled towards his dark blazer, accidentally banging his prosthetic against the wall which resulted in a loud noise. He winced, cursing at himself for being so nervous as he slipped the jacket on and opened the door, running a hand through his sandy blond hair.
"Hey, Ryder." Theo finally said, a grin tugging the corners of his lips up. He had no idea how he had landed a date with this guy. He was a bad boy and not to mention, hot. They were complete opposites already.
Ryder looked down at him and nodded in acknowledgment. "Hey." He said. He offered his hand before leading him to his car. It was a classic. He would have shown up with his bike but after last time…he learned very quickly that Theo was not a motorcycle fan.
Theo took his hand and followed after Ryder, trying to cover up the limp from his prosthetic. He blew strands of ash blond hair out of his face as he fixed his jacket self-consciously. "You look great. That jacket makes you even cuter."
He looked down at him and raised an eyebrow. "I'm not cute." He pushed back his shoulders, puffing out his chest a bit, looking "manly." He opened the passenger door for his date then got in the driver's seat. "You look…nice." He wasn't used to complimenting people. He was pretty bad at it. But at least he tried.
Theo sat down and looked over at Ryder, smirking faintly. "Okay, you aren't cute. You're really hot." He replied, glancing over towards the road as he leaned back against the car's seat. Thank goodness he wasn't driving. He couldn't feel the pedals with his prosthetic, so he was either going too fast or too slow most of the time.
Ryder smirked and rolled his eyes. He reached over the console and put his hand palms up, silent demand for his hand. He wasn't the most affectionate person, but he was trying for Theo. He didn't know why, but there was something about him that made him want to try. Which was unusual. He was normally a one and done kind of guy.
Theo placed his hand in Ryder's, a faint blush on his cheeks. He constantly had to keep himself from a lot blushing around this guy. It was hard not to. A small grin spread across his face as he glanced over at Ryder.
Ryder glanced over at him. He couldn't stop the small smile forming on his lips. He focused on the road, only letting go of his hand to make turns. After a little while, he pulled up the restaurant. He parked in an empty spot and got out of the car. He held open Theo's door.
( sorry, I disappeared)
Theo stepped out, resting one hand on the car door so he wouldn't fall forward. He smiled as he looked up at Ryder, taking his hand as he began to walk towards the restaurant.
He held his hand as he walked into the restaurant. "A reservation for Ryder." He told the receptionist in an almost bored tone. They were led to a small table. He pulled out a chair for Theo.
"Thanks," Theo said, smiling brightly as he sat down across from Ryder. He looked around the restaurant, running a hand through his hair in an attempt to fix it. "This place is awesome. . . but I bet you hate wearing dress shirts."
(I just realized I've been saying Ryder this whole time instead of Kaden…..)
Ryder helped scoot his chair up to the table. He took off his jacket and put it on the back of his chair before sitting down. He ran a hand through his hair. He nodded. "I don't usually do this."
( oof, really? Ryder seems to fit him more )
( oof, really? Ryder seems to fit him more )
(Yeah, I'm keeping it as Ryder.)
"You don't have to do this in the future. It's okay." Theo answered, looking ahead towards Ryder as he sat down. It was true. He also loved going on small dates with him in the town, just looking around at all the new places.
"Don't tell me I can do something nice for you. If I want to take you out to this expensive as fuck restaurant then I will." He ignored the looks and glares and whispers he got for cursing. He didn't care what they thought.
Theo chuckled lightly at his sudden protectiveness, glancing over at the people staring at them. "Well, thank you. This means a lot to me." He answered, looking towards Ryder again and smiling.
He gave him a small smile. When the waiter came over, he got them a bottle of wine. He had enough saved up that he could afford them this dinner, though he'd probably be eating ramen noodles for the couple months.
"You never told me what your tattoos meant," Theo finally said after he took a sip from the wine that the waiter had set down in front of him. He had always wanted one, but he couldn't decide what he wanted. One of his faults; being indecisive.
(I think that Ryder has tattoos based on the appearance pic, but correct me if I'm wrong)
(He does.)
Ryder took a sip of his wine. He it down and rolled up the sleeves of his button up. "Each one has different meanings. Most of which isn't the most appropriate for this setting." He lowered his voice. "Maybe I'll tell you later." He said, basically inviting himself into Theo's home. He wouldn't take Theo to his place. It wasn't, well it wasn't the best place to be.
"Later? Like…tonight later?" Theo asked, a faint blush spreading across his cheeks. God, he must have sounded so stupid. I honestly wonder how these things end up coming out of my mouth. . . He thought, cursing himself for sounding desperate.
"Um, well, that's what I meant by later. I'm sure everyone would know that." Ryder said as though it was the most obvious thing ever. He took another sip of his wine.
