Absolutely. Lilith scrambled so that she was standing in front of Jules, a move of self-defense.

Jules staggered along. They soon arrived at the ship. A man stepped out of it. "Ah…good. You're here."
Jules froze. "Who….who's that…"

"I… I don't know!" Lilith tightened her grip on Jules; her grip was so tight that it started to hurt.

Jules grimaced internally, but kept a calm face as the man approached them. "Hello there." He greeted. "I'm Roger Dun. You might have seen me in the paper there." He gestured to the wanted article.

Lilith stepped behind Jules, hating the fact that she was cowering, but Roger was someone she disliked. Like, so bad, she was afraid of him. Because he's a criminal.

Jules nodded. "Yes. You're one of the gang."
Roger smiled. "Good! Well, we're taking your ship."
"What? No!"
"Yes we are." Roger started back to the ship, but Jules grabbed his shoulder. "No!"
Roger whipped around, gun in hand. "What was that?"
Jules looked from the gun to Roger, then clenched his jaw. "No."
Roger scoffed. "Can you believe this? Who's gonna stop me? You? And what army?"

Lilith locked her jaw and stepped out from behind him, puffing out her chest and glaring at Roger.
"Me." That single word had as much force as Lilith could muster.

Roger laughed. "Hey Lilith! Been awhile!" He turned back to Jules. "Is this all you've got? This runty, no good, slut?"
Jules tore his arm away from Lilith and punched Roger in the jaw, hard.
Roger staggered back, clenching his cheek. "Fine! If that's how you want it!" He fired.
A sharp sting met Jules's side, then numbness. Roger disappeared into the ship and it lifted off as they watched.
I'm fine….I'm fine…. Jules's side began to throb. He stumbled.

Lilith cursed after them like a sailor and whipped around.
"Jules!" She hurried forward and caught him as he fell. She took his weight and looked around.

Jules got down on his hands and knees. "I'm fINE."
