Ok
Alex was currently on his computer. He had been sitting down, on it for about almost an hour. He looked out of the small window in his room and smiled. He was pumped for what they would see on the island. But then again, he was quite scared. He was a bit sea-sick but he was fine. He shut off his PC and put it back into his suitcase. He waited patiently for, something, anything interesting that was happening.
Josh looked up at the girl. He shook his head 'no'. "Im sorry but my sister is in the reading room right now. You'll have to wait." Josh said coldly, turning around and sighing. He didn't really like to talk to strangers. Especially girls. He ignored the fact that she was waiting behind him, like she wanted something from him. He looked to the side and saw a mini bench. He walked over and sat on it, waiting for his sister.

(By the way, theres no "good" screamers. You cant take them or keep them as pets n stuff. Theyre all rabid and will eat you if given the chance. Throughout the roleplay if we want to be able to find new types, we can maybe do that. But for now, nobodies known of a friendly screamer. I thought I should tell you that. Lol.)
(Also, if you want some of the characters can know eachother before hand and they could already be together. But if you want your character to already know someone else, ask the owner of the other character before posting.)
The blood pounding in his ears, his heart racing and his lungs burned from running so much. Five screamers after him. That was painfully annoying and there was no way Jezariah would be able to kill them all. He was able to weaken one before the others showed up but now all he could do was run until he found a safe place.
Entering yet another, what appeared to be a lost town, unable to read the sign as it was knocked down and the metal was completely covered by the vines overgrowing what appeared to be the whole town. He would usually try and cut off the vines to see it, but he had no time. He got a headstart already, there was no way Jez was about to slow down.
Getting into town, a little bit in he came across an abandoned mall. It was decently big and he figured the town had to have been a nice town. Well….before all of this.
Slipping inside of the mall, he immediately tried to find a way to the attic. An attic/storage room if you would. Boxes everywhere, most of them chewed open by rats and bugs. Jezariah got to a smaller area where he was only laying on the ceiling panels above the mall.
Three loud, deafening screeches sounded through the mall, and if anything living were in this town, they would hear. And most likely flee.
He figured he lost two of them, as the others would surely sound if they were nearby too.
One smaller black wolf like creature simply walked into the door way before the other one crashed through it, breaking the glass around the door frame. A Yelp came from the smaller one as some glass flew at it. Growling at the bigger one before it went to wander the mall.
The larger one was human like, but one thing…
Standing up straight, it was almost as tall as the ceiling. Its spine protruding out of it's back and it's long black arms dragging on the floor.
Pure white, yet hollow void looking eyes in its skull and a terrifying big smile to match it.
The last one walked on all fours, but looked as if all of its limbs had been broken, along with its neck as its head hung down. It had spiders crawling all over it, every now and then its long spiked tongue would lick some off of its face.
Luckily it looked like they didnt catch on, and the only one that could fit up here was the smallest one. Which would still be a challenge, but he could still kill. But now all Jezariah could do was wait.
Half of him hoped someone would come, but for their sake, he hoped they wouldnt. With three of these giant things, it would take at least two skilled people to get that one even down to the ground.
Nina heard the terrifying cries of the Screamers from several blocks away and quickly rose to peek out the window of the abandoned house she'd been camping in. The sound worried her—she was not equipped for a fight, and knew that her only chance of survival lay in finding a fortified hiding place and not drawing attention to herself. And currently, this rickety residential home with too many windows did not fit the bill. She had to find a new place soon. But now that Screamers were nearby and clearly on the hunt, she wasn't sure she dared venture out on her own. For now, she kept silent watch by the window and hoped that whatever animal or person the Screamers were stalking would manage to survive.
(If no one else shows up soon, Nina will forget she's useless in a fight and run over to try and help lol)
SCREEEECCHH
Their cries echoed throughout the abandoned town. Valerie was terrified of them, she gripped on tightly to her baseball bat since it was the only thing that she could possibly defend herself with. Currently, she had holed herself in an attic of a house and boarded off all the windows except for the one she would use to get in and out. Food was running low and soon enough, she would have to go out and scavenge for it again. The Screamers usually hung out at the west side of the area and Valerie that they would stay there. However, for now, she was sitting on the cold wooden floor…….alone. She hated being alone, it was such a foreign concept to her. Usually she would be surrounded by her friends, playing Uno or just watching TV. The occasional sound of talk and laughter would fill the air, but all she could hear now was silence. It made her wonder if she really was the only one here.

Time went by slowly in the attic, dust stuck in his throat but Jez didnt dare caught. Managing to swallow it, as that was the only thing keeping his body from automatically coughing.
Soon a few hours went by and two of them left, leaving the smaller wolf like one. He used his dagger to cut a small hole through the tile.
Which he soon realized was a mistake when the cut out square fell down and the screamer looked straight up at him. Shivers went up his spine when before he knew it, the ceiling tile cracked.
He was sure to stay on the frame, but he slipped up. He didnt fall, thank goodness. A fall from this height would surely break something if not killing him.
He rarely, but quickly got down from the attic and fell from there, landing on his back, Jez groaned in pain for a second before getting up.
Coming down to the main lobby, a deep growl came from behind him.
Whipping around, his dagger in hand and his bag on the ground beside him, the screamer dashed towards him as Jez did the same. It was the size of a normal wolf and had the strength of one, but its defense was rather low. So it would be easier to kill.
He slid down as it dashed towards him, Jez only managing to graze its neck.
"Oh sorry, did I piss you off?" He says with sass as the monster yelped. Its blood was black with an electric yellow intertwined.
Ashes fell from it with every movements. It reminded him of the bird like screamers.
A lot of screamers took shape of an animal, but they all varied in sizes. There could be a rabbit looking one the size of a house. Those things are mean, Jez could tell you that much.
Rolling back up onto his knees from his back, then onto his feet, he shook off some ash and the screamer growled. He quickly pulled another dagger from his sheath on the side of his belt where he held a decent amount of tools and weapons. Throwing one of the blades, the wolf dodged to where it hit his side. Which would have to do though he meant to hit his head. That only made it more mad, though weaker as it was bleeding out immensely.
Another screech came from the monster, seeming to call for help, which depending on if theres any more around or not, would come soon so he needed to end this quickly before it could sound another one.
Jezariah quickly ran to the beast and stabbed its chest, getting clawed in the process.
After a few minutes of letting the screamer bleed out and die on the floor, he wrapped his arm which was bleeding pretty bad but he managed to stop it.
A bite mark on his leg, from when it was still struggling as it died, had already turned black. He was no doctor, so he knew he needed to at least find a drug store near by. They usually had first aid kits. Either that or he needed to find somebody. These things got infected really easily and you would have to get it treated quickly before it spread. He wasnt quite fond of the idea of cutting off his on leg because of this.
(Is it like a zombie when it bites you, you turn into one?)

(Is it like a zombie when it bites you, you turn into one?)
(Well I was going to explain it in the next post but I'll explain it now)
(But basically kind of yes)
(So theres two kinds of bites. Different kinds of screamers have different kinds of saliva. Its extremely rare, but yes you could turn into one or a hybrid of sorts. Once we find out more of the mystery behind it as we get farther into the roleplay we can discuss and find out more about it. But for now, the characters are clueless about the hybrid thing until they all go through the books and find more things if that makes sense. Sorry if doesn't)
(makes sense to me)
Nina heard more screams, then sudden silence. She watched and listened for quite a while, but there was nothing. Maybe the monsters had finally caught their prey….she shuddered at the thought, but knew she'd be safer venturing into the open if they were busy eating. After a few more minutes, she mustered up her courage and packed her things, creeping out onto the streets in search of a safer hideout and perhaps more supplies.
Caelen heard the screeching and groaned. He was in a shop trying to find some bandages and water to address a bruise that had started forming. He put whatever he found in his bag and jumped out the second floor window. Running as fast as he could go, Caelen ran back to his house and grabbed his crossbow. Thankfully one of the hunting stores in the area still had some weapons and he had gotten to the only crossbow first. Judging by the sound, he came to the conclusion that they were at the mall so he went there.

After a while of sitting there, he decided to take a look at his leg. Rolling up the jeans, he let out a sigh. The blood mixed with the saliva of the best burned like hell. He winced in pain before taking out some alchohol and pouring it on the bite before wrapping it up. Taking a sip of the alcohol before stuffing it back in his bag, he hopped back up and kicked the dog like screamer. It twitched a little bit and he knew he would have to sever its head.
So kneeling down, that's just what he did with the machete in his bag.
After a few hacks at its neck, its head came off and he held it by its ashy fur as the blood dripped down into the puddle on the tiles.
Adrien had been hiding out in their apartment for a while trying to find out something pertaining to screamers, but really there was nothing that they could really do. The government was withholding all information that could help them, and trying to go and figure things out on their own wasn't going to work either. They looked at a few of the samples that they had collected from the screamers, a bit of their blood here, some of the dead skin flakes there -at least that's what they thought it was-. They had put the items in a controlled environment to see if anything would happen. Maybe if they were introduced to human bacteria, would something change, or if it were introduced to a blood sample. As they waited to see if anything would happen, they silently chewed on their thumbnail, he was really hoping that Bennet would make it back. The guy had set out to find some samples that Adrien could work with but was yet to come back. Adrien checked their wristwatch, "He should have been back hours ago." Then they heard loud noises down the hall of the apartment complex, coming straight towards their door, "Shoot." Grabbing the backpack he had made a few days before with some snacks, batteries, their notebooks on the screamers, they started to pack the samples up. The sounds grew louder and louder, and he could hear the heavy footsteps of a screamer. They grabbed their father's gun off the mantle -the one they had taken with them when they left and lept out of the back window. Thankfully they were on the first floor, which meant that they could find somewhere remotely safe.
Nina reached the drug store safely—to her great relief—and started looking around for anything left behind that might be useful. Yet again she thanked the stars that she'd been studying medicine, since now she could recognize and safely use more of the obscure pills on the shelves. Still, there wasn't much remaining in the store. She found a Staff Only door in the back, but it was locked, and when she climbed over the pharmacy counter to look for another way in, that was locked as well. She sighed, glanced at the light outside, and decided she had enough time before dark to look around for a key.
Caelen had also brought a sword with him. It was a gift from his father and only to be used as a decorative piece in his house, who would have thought it would actually come in handy. The mall was empty. Many stores were half empty from when people fled but there was still some useful stuff. "Hello!" Caelen called in a singsong voice, taking his sword out of its sheath and holding it in a defensive position.
Something wasn't right. The Screamers didn't scream often and would only do so if they were attacking or alarmed. Not only that, but it also sounded close. It sounded like there was a struggle going on, so Valerie took her baseball bat and went to venture out of her hiding hole. She only emerged very few times which was why she was so pale. She stood there on the rooftop as her eyes were adjusting to the sunlight, finally feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin.
SCREEECH.
Immediately, Valerie was on guard, gripping her baseball bat tightly and readying into a stance of battle.
"Come at me bitch." She mumbled to herself, trying to steady her nerves. She hadn't talked in so long that she didn't even recognize her own voice. To her, it sounded like someone else.

Jezariah stood with the head in his hands and ash falling to the ground as he walked, leaving a trail of ashy blood behind him.
He stepped out onto the streets and looked around, trying to see if anyone was around.
To no surprise, he didnt sense a soul.
But he had to quickly bury the head before it came back. Yes, they come back. As one last attempt they…of course let out a scream. Last resort to bring the others together. It made sense to Jez.
And then she saw it. A human.
Stumbling on the streets and covered in blood, before following with a loud Scream behind him. For a moment, Valerie was both relieved and shocked that she wasn't the only one left, but she quickly snapped out of it.
"Hey, over here!" Valerie yelled out, waving her arms wildly trying to catch his attention. there was a ladder near the window, perhaps she could lure the screamer over before beating the shit out of it and saving the other person. Thoughts zoomed through her brain as she was frantically trying to think of a way to come out of the situation safely.
