Nick frowned, then turned to the others. "I'm going to call someone to come pick her up," Standing up, he walked farther down the alley and pulled out his phone, dialing the numbers quickly. "Hey, I need you to come pick someone up. No permit. We're on Blanchard Avenue, in that alley by Kiki's. 10 minutes? Great."
Rejina got suddenly nervous. She didn't have a permit either yet…
Tick heard Nick call someone on his cell phone and attempted to stand, but she managed to get few steps away before collapsing again. "No, no, no…" Her eyes were wild.
Lea stood nearby, not interfering. You knew something like this would happen, dumbass. I was right, of course, Her brain chimed at her. Whatever. I would run into them anyway. I'm neighbors with that dude. I have lots of free time, anyway. This person does not bother me. Dad set the date for a deal to be made pretty far from now, she thought, watching everyone worry around Tick calmly with no expression.
"Hey hey hey," Nick rushed towards Tick, setting her gently down on the ground. "Let's not get ourselves more hurt, okay?" He glanced at Rejina, seeing her nervous expression. Uh oh. "You don't have a permit either, do you?"

Tick shook her head. "No. No hospitals." She coughed again, trying to lift herself back up. "No. No."
"Uh…" Rejina faltered at Nick's question. "It's fine…"
“We’re not going to a hospital, just one of my friends,” Nick said soothingly, trying to calm the girl down. He glanced back at Rejina. “Don’t worry about not having a permit. This guy doesn’t really care about them.”
Tick slumped back to the ground when Nick reassured her she wasn't going to a hospital. "Oh thank the gods…." She whispered hoarsely, letting her eyes fall shut.
Rejina stood up and quickly sat back down. "Nope," she murmured, closing her eyes and leaning backwards to avoid the lightheaded feeling.
