"Yes, it's very good," Paige responded, almost dreamily. She blinked and caught herself. "Yes."

He nodded and smiled, not really knowing how to continue the conversation. “You’re Paige right?”

"Yes," Paige smiled, brushing a piece of hair away from her ear. The conversation was dying. No no no! Wait, why was she suddenly so interested in talking to Darren?

“I’m Darren,” he laughed a little, “Something tells me you knew that,”

"How can I not?" Paige realized what she'd said. Idiot. She blushed heavily.

Darren laughed a little, "I guess most people do,"

"You're amazing," Paige gushed. SHUT UP! she mentally screamed at herself. She bit her lip, slightly embarrassed.

Darren blushed, "An amazing person, or an amazing quarterback?" He laughed at the flattery.

"Um… I don't really know you as a person yet." WHY DID YOU SAY YET?!

"Yet, well Paige that makes me hopeful for the future," He shook his head and winked.

Paige smiled shyly. She brushed a piece of hair behind her ear several times. "Me too," she agreed, her voice clear. WHAT- JUST STOP TALKING!!!!

"So, did you sign up? For the musical I mean,"

"Oh… yeah. I did. But I have no idea what it's about or the roles or anything. I'm not even a very good singer," Paige admitted.

"Don't tell anyone I signed up okay?" He looked embarrassed about it.

"Okay," Paige glanced for a brief second at the other football players. "So," she said, turning her gaze softly back to Darren, "do you like musicals?"

He hesitated, "Yeah, I kinda have an obsession." he admitted.

"You probably don't like the only musical I know," Paige blushed a little. (NOT TRUE! I KNOW AND LOVE SEVERAL!!!!)

"What is it? I'm like a musical dictionary," He smiled ambitiously.
(Thank God, I was concerned for a second)

"Um…" She tugged her hair, smiling. "Legally Blonde."

He nodded, "I own it,"

(OHMIGOSH, what if Darren liked Paige so much that he went to the drama teacher and convinced them to change the musical to LB and Paige gets Elle and Darren gets Emmet??????)

Paige giggled. "Really?"

"Yeah, I have a collection of musicals from like, 'Singing In The Rain', 'West Side Story', and 'Grease', to 'Legally Blonde'. I told you I'm obsessed. Quit judging,"

Paige smiled. "I know all of the Legally Blonde songs." She sighed, part of her wishing that the school could put on Legally Blonde instead of the musical she didn't know… West Side Story?
