"Sometimes, yes." He sighed, "But she's good, I must say you've raised a wonderful daughter ma'am," he looked at the siblings, his glance flashing them a quick 'help me' look before looking back at Mrs. Turner.

Paige smiled. "Mom, I'm finished."
"Ah ha! Perfect!" Mrs. Turner examined the greens. Paige walked over and kissed Darren lightly on the lips. "What did she say?" she murmured.

"That you're stubborn," he laughed.

"She doesn't understand," Paige muttered tersely.

He pulled her into his arms, “Most parents don’t,”

Darren sighed but didn’t let Paige out of his embrace, “Later then?” He whispered.

She nodded, her forehead rubbing against the fabric of his shirt.

“We should probably help,” he said but still not moving.

"Then you have to move, silly," Paige said, giggling softly.

Paige smiled. "Come on, silly," she teased. "We gotta help."

He sighed, “Do I get a kiss then?”

Paige giggled and stood on her tip toes to kiss him softly.
Bryson couldn't help but tense a little as he watched.

He smiled and kissed her cheek, “Okay… I guess I could maybe be willing to help now,”

Paige sighed. "Do we have to?"

“If we stand really still, they might not notice us,” he laughed.

"We can try," Paige whispered.
Bryson crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "I can see you."

“Shh no you can’t,” Darren insisted as he pulled Paige back into his arms.

Paige laughed into his shirt. "Bryson, you're no fun." Her words came out muddled.
Bryson smirked. "Yup, that's me. The no fun brother…"

Darren hummed quietly to the tune stuck in his head sending vibrations through his chest.

Paige's cheek buzzed with his rhythm. She sighed. "You're not making out easy to be invisible…"
