"Okay… so you really don't know much of anything yet," Lewis replied, "That's fine. We were all in your shoes once. So, I'm sure you've been told about how one of your parents was a god or goddess, yes? Well, sometimes, you don't get to know who it is right away. One of the cabins you saw out in the middle of the camp is the cabin of Hermes, the messenger god. His children all live there, as well as those who don't know who their parent is yet, or kids like me who have a non-Olympian parent. Hermes is also the god of travelers, and he is a hospitable god, I should say, so he takes the rest of us in. As for weapons? We're more like the Ancient Greeks. There's no need to upgrade to guns when our weapons do just fine. Besides, celestial bronze, which is a substance that kills monsters, is best used forged into a hand weapon or arrows. Now, of course, I much prefer to use my cutting wit as a weapon, though some days a blade will do just as well."
