"Okay, Reese, hit me with your best shot." he leaned towards her in his seat, interested.
Reese started to play. It was quite good, but then the speakers on her piano started smoking, and suddenly blew up. Reese coughed from the smoke, her face full of soot.
"I'm gonna take care of this before the principal sees." Ruca-Monroe got up and headed towards the speakers, coughing.

"My piano!" Reese wailed. Now two instruments of hers we're broken, and she didn't like singing. Her deep baritone voice embarrassed her greatly. She sounded like a man, almost.
"Hey, it's okay, man, if you help me clean this up in thirty minutes, I swear I'll give you a free pass. Just as long as we're not caught."

Zephyr ran down the school's hallways, thinking they were late. They found the room in which Ruca-Monroe was with a couple of others and began unpacking their instrument. Zephyr hoped they weren't too late to try out, and that someone better hadn't come along.
"Hello, name, instrument you're signing up for, and grade, please." Ruca-Monroe held up his clipboard with the piece of paper. "Oh, and feel free to call me Ruca or Monroe. Whatever works for you."
