Destiny cursed under her breath. That was not how she was planned this. That girl was going to ruin everything!
“Are you an idiot?” Destiny hissed. “He has a rifle! Possibly faster weapons! He could change his hiding place faster than you could blink, and you threaten him? You think he could be alone? Before making such idiotic moves, you should consider your place and think if you could make it out alive! Numbers don’t matter if the player is skilled. I was his target, not you. What made you think you could take charge and mess things up?”
Post-Apocalyptic Roleplay
Well, shit.
Gabriel let the rifle down, and put his hands up first before bringing his head into view. He approached the loner slowly, and smiled weakly, "the least you could say is thank you, sister. You'll make more friends that way."
The look on her face told him she was not at all amused, but he kept going, "Hell, maybe you'd actually have me covering you on purpose, for once. You're just lucky I can't shoot worth a damn with a rifle."
"LOOK. You are on our grounds loner, and so is he. If you can't trust us we can't trust you. I know you're tough, but you aren't stupid. You won't go against all of us. And neither will he. I'm just trying to save your tail. You're right he does have faster weapons. Pointing. Towards. You."
He turned to the girl, "And you, princess, might wanna let me get away with this one. I've got a troop full of buddies far better armed than I, movin' this way."
He prayed the bait would work, but heis eyes shifted warrily around, trying to find a decently covered exit.
Neo gestures to the team to strip him of his weapons. "You'll get them back in the morning." Neo enters the tent again, waiting for some rebuttal from the loner.
“Thank you,” Destiny repeated with a hard expression. “Why would I thank the man who was— who is after my life, who ‘saved my life’ only because he missed a shot? I could turn my back on you and you wouldn’t miss that chance to attack.”
She then turned her attention back towards the other girl.
“Did I ask for your help? I am not desperate enough to let others fight my battles for me. And you’re right. I am not stupid. So please, forgive me for not needing your unwanted help.”
(Oh, I didn’t see the earlier posts.)
Ash grabs the guys arms and forces them behind his back. "Watch it." He hisses in his ear.
“In case you didn’t know the first rule of having a hostage,” Destiny called monotonously. “Never anger him. One second you’d be breathing, the next you’d be lying, drowning in your own blood.”
"Hey, hey easy," Gabe winced as the brother forced his arms behind his back, "I wasn't trying to piss your sis off, but I'm serious, man, ya'll better think twice 'bout holding me here!"
To the loner, he said, "By the way, Darlin', I wasn't after your life. Just your guns. Your life would've been an unfortunate side affect of that, maybe, but if you hadn't been so lucky as to run into these guys, I would've just tried to mug ya."
"Oh shut up…" Ashton says as he takes Gabe to a makeshift cage. They don't care if he escapes, he just won't have any weapons. "Loner… do you need some food for the road?"
Destiny’s face hardened, but she made no move to reply to the stranger.
“No thank you,” she said to the one named Ash without taking her eyes off of the man who clearly was dangerous. “I am able to fend on my own.” she didn’t even correct them about her name; it wasn’t as if she was going to see them again.
So she walked towards the fallen Undead and took out her knives from their foreheads, grimacing as their blood dropped from their edges. Wiping them off of a cloth, Destiny lowered them inside her bag gently. She gave one last look to the hostage before decided she lingered enough.
(sorry gtg)
(So do I. We can hold it off. It’ll much better if we do so; we wouldn’t be confused when we come back)
Gabriel noticed the loner who was supposed to be his prize turning to leave, and cursed to himself quietly. He had definitely screwed that up.
So he turned his attention to the situation at hand. A girl and her group had him held hostage, and from the looks of the cage weren't planning on treating him nicely. That left him with only a few options.
He could try and fight his way out. Resolution: probably get shot. Either that, or have no guns. The latter was even scarier than the former.
He could talk his way out. Resolution, probably getting thrown to the wolves for being annoying as hell. Again, not a nice way to go. He needed to barter. But he didn't really have much to barter with. Or at least, he didn't think he did.
He decided to probe his handler for possibilites. He started that talk as he usually did: conversation.
"Your sister's got a handle on things, it seems…"
(Ok. Gabriel can wait to get out. )
(This is my last post for now)
When Destiny got as far as possible from the group she ran into, she shrugged her bag off and decided the clearing would be a good place to rest up. She got out her traps and planted them, before climbing a tree to make herself hidden from the Undead. She had been trained to wake up at even the slightest noise, and her ears and sense of danger hadn't betrayed her too terribly yet.
So, tired from the day's adventures, Destiny closed her eyes and let herself rest for as long as danger let her.
(Anyone here?)
(Kinda? Replies will be sparse…)
(Oh, right. No problem, so will mine)
(God I'm so bored rn)
(Yeah, I'm kinda waiting for Angelic. They've got me held up.)
(It's okay, I'm just bored in general. The book I'm reading isn't helping at all, either.)
(May I ask which book it is?)
(Of course. It's the book two of the Inheritance Cycle, Eldest.)
(Never heard of it, but it sounds kinda cool! What's it about?)
(Well, it is a pretty good book. It's about dragons and dragon riders. If I say some more, I might reveal an important information. It just features a boy who found a dragon egg and lost whatever he held dear because the king, who is tainted with evil, wants the dragon egg he finds. The boy's egg hatches into a dragon and he turns out to be a Rider who is destined to destroy the king and bring peace. It's a boring explanation, but it's the best I could find.
I need to go now, though. Bye!)
(Kah. See ya 'round!)
(I'm back! Just for like an hour, though, maybe.)
(So far we're still waiting on Angel.)
(I wonder where she could've gone)
