Preternatural RP.

Alright, here's the layout.
Location: A suburban place called "Cable Ridge", which is a hodgepodge of neighborhoods, convenience stores, hotels, motels, warehouses and other buildings, all mashed together into a maze of very long, winding, two-lane asphalt roads, labrynithian alleys, and obscure shortcuts, mostly.
Time: Modern.

-Don't ask to join, the answer is yes, just state your character and jump in.

Now, humans, angels, demons, nephilim, cambion, djinn, tengus, vamps, wolves, witches, and psychics are advised, but feel free to mix it up.

Name: Calix
Species: Whatever the hell his mother is, best not to ask
Gender: Male
Appearance: Black leather jacket, worn jeans, earring studs, lithe build, green eyes that change color with mood, messenger bag slung over one shoulder and across his chest
Personality: Gruff, tells it like it is, doesn't like liars, normally will not team up with anyone else, but will do so if necessary
Powers/Abilities: Very sensitive to supernatural presence, good tracker, weaves words and runes, magic is light green/blue
Family: None other than his mother, they don't talk much, and a small black cat with mismatched eyes that curls around his neck or in his bag
Home: Small apartment with three rooms total, no one is quite sure how he affords it, doesn't seem to have a job

Nice man.

Calix smokes one of his cigarettes while leaning against the brick wall of a rather grungy bar in the bad side of town. Personally, he was pretty sure that all sides of town were the bad side. Lilith, his cat, curled around his neck with one eye open, peering at passerby. Watching carefully, Calix notes how may people are in the bar, and their species. Never having been fooled by glamour a before, he watches with amusement as several demons try to get into the bar, only to be booted out. He waits.

Name: Clif Johnson.
Gender: Male.
Sexuality: Straight.
Age: 33
Species: Werewolf
Personality: He's a wicked sweet person, a great leader in general, and an antihero with grey morals, a weird guy, but not in a good or bad way, he is also a wolfish guy as you'd expect.
Looks: He's very tall, athletic make, with brown hair in a fringe cut, and with blue eyes, he's covered in scars and tats, has masculine, angular facial features.
Powers: A vast array of mental powers, shapeshifting, augmented wolf traits.

Clif waltzes along in his alley, tail swishing, he passes by a few bums, who pay him no mind. He continues sniffing the air.

Name: Jade
Species: Genie (she was released a couple of years ago)
Gender: Female
Appearance: Incredibly short, bright red hair, almost golden eyes, has attached her old lamp to her belt
Personality: Sassy, hates being made fun of because of her height
Age: Really, really really old: she looks like she's in her late 20's- early 30's
Powers/Abilities: She can do a range of things but does have her limits (much like the genie in Aladdin) - she never lost her powers when she was released but she doesn't use them unless she's feeling lazy or the situation is dire

Calix notes the werewolf, remembering that tonight was the full moon. Grinning, he decides today would be a good day to stay inside. Idly stroking Lilith, he wonders if the wolf is watching him too.

Lilith lifts her head, and Calix turns to look, catching a new scent on the breeze. Recognizing the electric scent of a genie, with just a hint of very polished brass and sand, but without a trace of binding magic. Shrugging, he calms Lilith, reassuring her that nothing was amiss, and the feline falls back asleep.

Jade made her way to the bar, an odd place that creatures of all different species tended to go to and drink beverages. She had never been to one before so she was a mixture of excitement and nerves at the idea.

Cliff approaches the ass-end of the alley, and walks out, as the light bathes him, he shakes off, and sits on his haunches, kneading his front paws.

A howl ripped through the somewhat peaceful night, causing Jade's head to turn to the sound. Curious- she followed it, forgetting about the bar.

Clif receeded back into the alley's shadows, waiting for the bums to trek off, he turned back to normal within seconds. He took the little pack he'd been holding in his mouth, and unwrapped it. Within less than minute, he walked back out, easily blending in with the rest of the people in the area.

Jade found no trace of whatever had made the howl, perhaps it had just been her imagination. After a couple more minutes searching and finding nothing, Jade decided to follow the general direction of the people in the area.

Cliff walks into the bar, carefully.

Jade found herself back at the bar, as she was about to enter the bouncers stopped her, "No minors in the bar."
She glared up at them before growling, "I'm not a minor." Still, they refused to let her in.

"It's cool." Clif said, suddenly appearing and clapping this stranger on the shoulder as if he knew her. "My daughter. She'll just be in a bit, cool?" He smiled convincingly. They admitted them in.

Jade grumbled thanks, before making her way to through the crowds to order a drink, leaving the man.
