Bastian sighed again. “Okay.” He ran a hand through his hair, his gaze traveling to the ceiling. “I guess I should start by telling you that I’m not exactly normal.”
Halo tilts his head, "How so?" he asks quietly.
“You know all those myths and legends about creatures that are kind of human, but not quite? Well, um. I’m something like that,” Bastian said as he looked off to the side
Halo looks at him for a moment, "Continue." he says softly. He was surprised, but it didn't change his love for him.
“Are you…are you sure? Because most people would have ran in the other direction by now,” Bastian said, still looking down at his lap as he spoke
Halo smiles and gently kisses his cheek, "Just because you're different doesn't mean my mind is going to change on how I see you." He says softly, he smiles.
“But I…I’m basically a demon. I mean, I’m not exactly a demon, but it’s close enough,” Bastian said, his voice something of a mumble now
He smiles, "So? I could be a cat for all I know." he says softly.
“Yeah, but at least people like cats. Cats don’t have people seek them out and stab them,” Bastian pointed out
Halo chuckles softly, kissing him, "Stop worrying… I love you, demon or not."
Bastian sighed. “Thanks,” he said, smiling a little as he rested his head on top of Halo’s
Halo looks down, "But… I'm mortal…" he says softly, shaking his head.
“And what’s so wrong with mortal?” Bastian asked, smiling as he pressed a kiss to Halo’s forehead. “I was mortal once. It was a long time ago, but it was alright.”
"Yes… but you're immortal and I'm… not…" he mutters softly, looking down.
Bastian tilted his head in a confused manner before his eyes widened in realization. “Oh, angel, you don’t have to worry about that,” he said, holding Halo close to him
Halo curls up next to hims and sighs softly, resting his head on Bastians shoulder.
“Maybe one day we can figure something out. That way you don’t have to worry,” Bastian said softly
He nods and sighs softly, kissing his cheek.
Bastian chuckled softly at the kiss. He gave Halo’s body an affectionate squeeze before yawning. “You know, I don’t think we’ve had breakfast yet.”
Halo shakes his head, "Nope. Only a cup of coffee."
“Well, what do you like for breakfast?” Bastian asked, remembering what Argo had told him on the phone before
"Mmm. Eggs and bacon?" he asks softly.
“I can work with that,” Bastian said with a smile. Gently he moved away, moving to stand as he yawned
He smiles lightly, "Thank you, love."
“Alright, come on. Let’s go get some breakfast,” Bastian said, smiling as he tugged Halo up as well
Halo hums, smiling and kisses Bastians cheek. "Sounds good."
Bastian took his hand before walking through the living room and into the kitchen. “How do you like your eggs?” he asked as he began to go through the fridge
"Sunny side up." he says, humming as he looks at the counter. He's mortal, and Bastian… Bastian is immortal.
“Got it,” Bastian said. He pulled out the eggs and bacon before grabbing a skillet. He reached over to the vintage-looking radio in the corner, turning it on to some quieter rock station
