Brooke stood as well, shaking off the water from her pants.
"Well, that was certainly surprising," she mumbled.
Brooke stood as well, shaking off the water from her pants.
"Well, that was certainly surprising," she mumbled.
“No problem,” they said. “Where are you going in such a rush?”
"Sorry about that." Peter cringed. "Are you okay?"
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine," Brooke answered quietly. Why did there have to be such a thing as social interaction? Even if it was minor.
"It's not important." Peter shook his head. "Wait hold on. Excuse me." He squeezed past Brooke.
Alyssa watched three people fall in puddles. Well now she should probably watch her step as well.
Brooke raised her eyebrows, somewhat surprised and confused by the boy's reaction to the question.
What in the world? she thought, turning around so that she could see what he was doing.
“It looks vaguely important?” They sounded hesitant and concerned.
Peter cocked his head. Then chucked a book towards nothing. Or what looked like nothing. It disappeared into thin air. "Oh that's where it is!"
(oh nooo.)
Brooke blinked. Then blinked again.
"What the heck?" she wondered, this time out loud.
Thayer did a double-take, then glanced at Brooke as if to make sure she wasn’t crazy. “Di… I just see that?”
"I– I have no idea… Did I just see it? What the heck did we just see?!?" Brooke babbled.
Peter turned with a giant grin, it then dropped. "Oh you're still here. Pretend you didn't see that…"
“A little impossible,” they mumbled, eyes wide.
"Yeah, no kidding," Brooke declared, blinking again at the spot the book had disappeared through. "I just watched a book disappear… That memory is going to be in my mind for a very long time."
Peter cringed. "Crud….well I should probably explain. It went through a portal."
"I'm sorry young sir but what the heck did you just do?" Alyssa asked.
"Uh, I threw a dictionary into a plasmatic portal?"
"A what now?" Brooke questioned, looking at him like he was crazy.
"Now if you weren't a stranger I would probably be able to know whether or not you were joking."
"A plasmatic Portal." He gestured. "It's hard to explain unless you experience it."
“I don’t want to poof out of existence.”
"No there's another side."
“Oh, okay then.”
Peter shrugged. "You can come if you want. If not, toodles!" And with that he fell back (dramatically) and disappeared.
“I have nothing to lose.” Asshole parents, lonely school life. Might as well. she followed.
(Sorry, I ate supper!)
Well, if they're going, I'm going! Who knows, this could be fun! At least it has to be better than my boring life, Brooke thought. She shrugged, then stepped in.
(Aaaaaand we're waiting on Scarlet)
(We are?
We are.
Well I kind of need a reason for Alyssa to join them…. ._.
Or I can just have her ignore it but then slipping in a puddle and falling in anyways.)
