Cade looked around at the rest of the group. "Do you think Chelsea would kill me if I drank some of this?" He pointed to the cocoa.
Scarlet raised an eyebrow. “Do you have a death wish?”

He laughed a little. "Hey, this whole mission we're on is a death wish. Might as well get some good cocoa out of it." Cade carefully took a sip.
Scarlet grabbed it, setting it down away from him. “Someone’s not going to make it to the ball.”

Scarlet rolled her eyes. “Would you just out your pride aside for three minutes? My god, you’ll be the death of us all.”

"Well then, I apologize in advance." Cade looked around. "What are we doing here again?"
Harper heard arguing. She stopped and let everyone down a different hall. "…………..The fires aren't our biggest concern right now! We need to make a move on the queen while she's distracted." Harper walked up to the table that the other leaders of the resistance were arguing. "These fires are no longer random. We need to start fighting them. This was the fifth time this week alone, and most of the people who died were in the resistance. We need to face the facts. We have a spy." Harper spoke to them with so much authority and control you'd think that she was the leader of the rebels.
Scarlet stared in awe at Harper, waiting in agony for the flares and whispers to start.

He gasped, even though he wasn't part of the conversation. "A spy?" Cade looked around. "Who do you think it is?"
One of the men sighed. "As always, Harper is right. We need to start taking action. But we need to get someone into the ball." Harper smiled. "I can take a team. My friend the princess has already requested the honor of being one of the people to take down her mother." The same man looked up at Scarlet, seemingly not the least bit surprised or angered that she was there. "Very well Miss Heart. Take your team to the ball." Harper nodded. "Yes sir."
Scarlet’s palms were sweating underneath the threatening glares from others at the table.
