renaissance | apocalypse and magic roleplay [open]

When the apocalypse started nine months ago, humanity fell. It fell fast. We went from 7 billion to 7 million in four months. At least, that’s what the reports say. They died awhile back.
An unexpected side effect? Magic is coming back. A renaissance of sorts has been started.
Humanity is reborn. Superhumanity. Some lady found old books awhile back, detailing why this stuff was happening.
Turns out humans have always had powers, but manna was just spread too thin from overpopulation. As more and more people die, the remainder grows more and more powerful. It’s a game of survival now.

Don’t be super OP. A little more powerful than most roleplay is allowed, seeing as humanity is dying off so fast that manna collects in large amounts among people.
If you break rules three times, you’ll be kicked.

Reminder that the apocalypse has been going for a few months now, almost a year, so your characters should be fairly well set up

Vivian rubbed her eyes and stepped outside. She was running short on food, and scavenging was barely an option anymore. “I guess today is the day I learn to hunt,” she muttered, picking up her bow. She preferred to use her dad’s gun against the Cresled, so it would have to do for now.

//depends on where we’re set, but I’m guessing a smallish town near some forests, probably an hour or less away from a big city (by car)

Zara nocked an arrow, aiming for the tree's centre.

She wove between the trees, wishing her older sister were here. Unfortunately, Valerie hadn’t been immune (just like most of her family’ and had died three months ago.

Zara released the arrow, staying in a low crouch watching it hit so close to the middle.

Raven stayed in the bushes, with her bow and arrow, she shot one of the zombies whenever they came in her sight.

Hearing shouting, she got curious and followed the sound to a small cabin. She saw two people, a man standing over the woman.
