Elizabeth follows the man, and I expect him to take us to some ancient blind lady who will gasp in shock when we walk in, only to tell us we are destined for greatness.
However, that did not happen. As he took us into a back room, I notice it is empty. Is⦠he the fortune teller?
The room contains various items: a bookcase with books and other trinkets, a short table with a deck of tarot cards and beads strung together into a necklace, and a minifridge.
The boy gestures to the table, and Elizabeth takes a seat on the pillow on the ground, elevating her just enough to put her elbows on the table. He took off the gloves from his hands and we both see his hands are half prosthetic. Like my eye!
rip random :( </3
I watch the man carefully, his silence wasn't uncomfortable, because he seemed focused, or even as if his silence was saying a lot. Maybe it was just me, but I really didn't feel threatened by this man. Almost as if he's wiser than his age admits. As he takes off his gloves, I notice his hands, but I try not to stare. I couldn't help, though. I was curious.
do you mean you as in you or elizabeth bc if u mean elizabeth then no u dont know his eye is prosthetic
well yeah its italics its just his thoughts buddy
"I am certain you're curious whether I'm really a psychic, right?" His eyes fluttered between us, but he didn't give us time to answer. "No matter, I get kids quite often. Normally I'd make them pay, but not the first time. Why pay for an unreliable service, right? I will allow you two to see what happens and tell me if I have powers or not."
He talks in such a serious tone. You'd think he was silly tired, but the gentle smile on his face said otherwise. "Who would like to go first?"
I am not gonna lie, I'm not the aura type of kid. But this man definitely changed the whole vibes of the room in an instant. As soon as he acknowledged that Elizabeth is going first, everything felt serious and quiet and almost energetic. I pat her ear in support, as I could feel her body slightly shaking.
He brings a finger to the middle of her forehead. "You two are going on one hell of an adventure soon. Or, it looks like one. A forest of some sort. Tropical?" His mutterings come bit by bit.
