Aspen looked down momentarily and flinched when he saw someone who looked like Jay looking up at them, a bandage concealing his arm. "Hey, Oyoyo. Isn't that Jay?"
Just then, his phone began playing his ringtone, a My Chemical Romance song. The figure below had a phone pressed to their ear and they were tugging on their tie nervously. "Hello?"

Jay ducked into an alleyway. He had already dialed Aspen and was waiting as it rang. His voice wheezed, his eyes burned, and he winced as his arm shot pain in all directions. He was bleeding badly. "Pick up," he coughed pick up please. His phone now stained with blood. What was he doing? Apparently it wasn't the hospital. A nervous "Hello?"
"Ah, Aspen," He panted, "I'm, I'm so sorry." The only words he could choke out as he slumped against the wall, sliding down to the cement.

"Dude, where are you? What are you doing?" Aspen hollered over the wind.

"I'm.. I'm sorry" He gasped again, his eyes filling with tears. "You don't deserve me. You deserve better. Find someone who isn't a scumbag, and get yourself to Texas, and, and.." His hand dropped to the ground for a moment with an audible clatter over the mic before, "I'm a no good scumbag gang member, so I'll tell you now, you don't want me."

Aspen gasped and brought his paw upwards to cover his mouth, bitter tears stinging at his eyes. "N-no… Please don't…"

He pushed with his legs as hard as he could to get himself standing again, bringing the phone up, it was muffled, but he said, "It's a shame, hah.. Because you're cute as hell. But gang beasts don't get to have families, or lives outside of the membership. It'd put a big ol'.. target on your back." He huffed, dragging himself against the wall, beginning on his way home, to his apartment.

"Jay, I don't care. Where are you? You sound hurt."

"I just left a shootout, it's dangerous. I-I'm heading home. Don't worry, I'll be okay."

(I feel like Oyoyo and I are never on at the same time, I feel bad lol)

Aspen sighed in resignation. No one would ever love him. "Alright, I guess. Stay safe. Come by the cafe sometime if you want." He hung up the phone and stared blankly at the black screen, a single tear falling from his face and landing in a heart-shaped puddle on the glass.

(Didn't think to connect the shooting scene with the guy in the alley?)

"What"s up?", Oyoyo asked. "Who were you talking to on the phone?"

"I-it was Jay. He said he can't- I- We should just go to the movie…" Aspen replied, head hung in defeat and tail drooping.

"Seriously? What's going on? I could try to help.", Oyoyo tried. She had no clue what was going on, but it was making Aspen cry. "Do I need to punch someone for you?"

If you could punch a fucking gang… Aspen thought bitterly, growling under his breath. "Jay said it was too dangerous for us to date…"

Finally, tears broke from Jay's eyes. He slumped again, sitting against a wall once more, looking at his wound; Glass. Everywhere. And he was getting tired. He could hardly see, and just wanted to sleep. For a moment. As he closed his eyes it began to downpour. (Is it okay to make it rain?)

(whee make it rain for Aspen 0w0 jk)

(Rain is nice though, it has a nice calming effect.)

"Too dangerous?", Oyoyo questioned. "Speaking of dangerous, I can breathe fire! I'm a martial artist! I can help!" Maybe she said that a little too loudly.

(I'm gonna be gone for a little while)

"Can you burn a whole gang?" Aspen joked sarcastically. "If you could, that'd be nice."

(Oooooh what if I'm a nurse at the hospital caring for Jay's wound?? Also I'm gay so oooh what if there's a love triangle?? Maybe?? Just a suggestion. It's cool if not though, just trying to fit myself in somehow. :) )

(You could pass by where he's passed out in the alley and be a nurse)
