"Sure," Zander replied scratching Blakes wings where they itched."You never had anyone to help you?"

Blake let out a sigh of relief, enjoying the feeling. "No, Commander told me not to ask anyone 'cause it always lets my guard down too much." Blake shut his eyes, some of the tension leaving his shoulders.

(Ace is sitting in shock from the unexpected betrayal)

"That sucks Commander (insert name here because I spaced) has always gone to far." Zander replied absent-mindedly. He was thinking of the fact that he had been witness to a vote to court-marshal the commander for starving his men.

(Zander acts enough like Ace that drunk Blake can't really tell the difference at this point)

"H-He's awful." Blake suddenly got choked up, his emotions changing from happy to sad within seconds.

(I feel like Ace and Zander would either be best friends or the worst enemies)

"Y-Yeah…" Blake sniffed, rubbing at his watery eyes a little. "You're gonna come home with us, right?" Blake looked over at Zander with wide, innocent eyes, silently pleading for him to come.

(Ace will win most definitely. He's already bragging to me about how he turned Blake gay for an hour because of how good-looking and charming he is.)

"Good!" Blake said cheerfully, wrapping Zander up in another hug. "Can I go pet the cat?" He asked, suddenly shy as he looked at Kata.

Blake flinched back slightly as he watched Kata swipe at Zander. Although he was slightly more reluctant now, he sat down on the floor next to Zander and let his wings stretch out behind him. He tentatively reached out a hand towards Kata.

Kata reluctantly purred against his hand. She wasn't one for contact, but heaven knew the kid needed friends.
