Sarah laughed. This had to be the funniest reaction to medical drugs that she had seen yet.

Sky nodded and then focused on the room that Peter and ace shared. Zander and the kids were now in there, and Skylars stomach lurched as she teleported. She opened her eyes once more and rushed over to Peter. "Zander, what are we going to do? Has he got up yet?" She bombarded him with questions, stroking Peters hair.
"Laughy taffy!" Ace laughed, "Taffy daffy..DAFFY DUCK!" he quacked, "Looneytoon moon-moon meme."
Peter's eyes flicked a little under their crusted lids.
Dani, Sabine, and Macha raced to the flat. They went in and Dani went to the others while Macha and Sabine stayed in the living room. The refugees had been given their own apartments now, so the flat was pretty much empty. Dani slid into the room and put her hand on Zander's shoulder.
"Peter?" She whispered at his movement.
His eyes fell still, but he stuck out his tongue to lick his chapped lips.
Ace sat up and sighed.
Mackenzie walked between Dani and Zander and put one hand on Dani's leg and one on Zander's.
Ellis stayed a good length away, holding tight onto the feather.
"Dani what do we do?" Sky asked softly.
"I have to get to Ace.", Macha said frantically. "Where's Peter? Papa?"
Dani gave Skylar a helpless look. "I don't know. By all accounts Peter should be fine."
Sabine hugged her friend gently. "Macha calm down. You're getting overwhelmed."

Blake hugged Frankie against his chest and extended his wings. He felt Frankie tighten her grasp around him as well as he lifted in flight towards the R.A.C. He flew a little faster than normal for many reasons.
Frankie held on tight as they soared over the city towards the headquarters. She was nervous and the jacket was a little bit big for her but she felt comfort knowing that Blake cared so much for her. They dropped down about a block away from the R.A.C. and walked the remaining portion. Frankie silently released Blake and kissed him on the lips. It was time.
"But look at him!" She said. "He is a mess!! How long do you think he has been sleeping for?"
Macha nodded, squeezing her eyes shut. “Something bad’s happened to him, I can tell.”

Sabine nodded. "I know Macha I know."
Dani sighed and walked out of the room. She needed to think. "I think Zander called the hospital wing already.I'll be down the hall if yo need me." She grabbed her bow and quiver of arrows and walked out of the flat, going into the training room down the hall.
"Mkay." Sky said, pulling up a chair and resting her head next to him.
Gentle fingers brushed across Peter's face, outlining the crook of his jaw. He was in the Caribbean, his home, as the atmosphere always held the smell of salt and sun. And Delanie had opened her room windows to welcome in the morning. His body was sore, but his mind content. And she was asleep with her ear against his collar bone.
He was too naïve back then to understand. But he had just made one of the biggest mistakes that would haunt him forever.
Peter's eyes began to flicker under there lids again, as he dreamed.
"Skylark?" Ellis spoke very quietly.

Dani aimed an arrow at a target, injured arm slightly shaking. She let the arrow fly and it hit its mark. Then Dani did it faster. Why. Thud. Is. Thud. My. Thud. Birthday. Thud. Always. Thud. So. Thud. Sad Thud. Dani took a deep breath. She wasn't going to cry. Nope. Not doing it. NOPE. And yet a small tear trickled down her cheek.

Blake sighed, anxiety swirling in his stomach. There was something else too, about this place, the R.A.C. It had adrenaline coursing through his body like a drug. Frankie's kiss only made it stronger, his heart pounding so fast he could hear it. "I'm going to disarm the guards. Grab their guns. We'll need them." Blake whispered the order, eyeing the door.
