Cruz shifted on his feet.
"It's Macha," August had to tell Cruz, touching his arm.
"I know," he replied, turning his sunglass-hidden eyes in August's direction. "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to say. So. Hello."
Cruz silenced even more at Sabine's apolgy.
Sabine's heart felt like it had just shattered into a million pieces all over again. Fae's scream. Macha's scream. Her scream. Cruz's eyes. She slid against the wall, having a panic attack. All my fault………..
Augustus shuttled forward to hug her, and try to keep her calm. "Hey.. hey.." he spoke as comfortingly as he could manage.
Macha realized immediately what had happened to Cruz. "Why– why don't you two– and Ellis– come in? It's not safe out here." She swallowed, trying desperately not to think about Fae.
Cruz kept his face towards the noise, but stood silently in his spot.
Ellis pressed his knuckles to his lower lip in worried anxiety.
"I wasn't fast enough."
"Can I wait for August?" Cruz asked quietly.
Ellis moved to take Macha's hand for comfort.
"We all make mistakes," August consoled best he could.
Macha took a hesitant step towards Cruz. "I– I want you to know I'm sorry. It was my fault. I failed."

Cruz scratched his nose, and pulled off his sunglasses. He kept his glassy eyes strictly downwards. "It's alright." He mumbled.

Frankie woke up abruptly. A nurse had come in, muttering to the doctors that accompanied her. She shrugged off Blake's injured wing and he began to wake up. Frankie stroked him gently, "Shhhhhh" He promptly drifted back to sleep. Suddenly, a couple hands had grabbed her arms and were yanking her away from Blake, she struggled but they tried to shush her, just as she had shushed Blake. Tears ran silently down her cheeks as a needle pierced Blake's tender skin, his eyes flashing open and connecting with hers before closing.

Macha averted her eyes, holding back tears with all her might. "Let's all go inside, it's a bit crowded now because of all the refugees, but there's space."
Sabine let Augustus pull her up. Mackenzie walked over to her and grabbed her hand. "It's kay Sabine." She said softly.
Augustus shifted a little to take Cruz's elbow and begin walking. Cruz slid the sunglasses back over his nose.
Macha led them to the apartment, silent.
Ellis looked at Macha, "Who are they?"
Macha smiled tearfully down at the little boy. "Some old friends."
