Zander walked over with her to the arcade and watched as she played Pac-Man.

It seemed to be going pretty well until a kid started screaming. Dani flinched noticeably.
Zander whirled around but only saw a little kid with his mom, crying over a stuffed animal. Then he turned back to Dani and said," I saw you flinch, are you sure you are okay?"
Dani nodded, but tears were already forming in her eyes. Seeing as this was one of the first times she had been out and not worried about something or someone since she had woken up from her coma two weeks ago……..Dani walked away from the machine and sat down at a table, hands shaking.
Zander followed her to the table and sat next to her, wrapping his arm around her comfortingly. "What's wrong? You can tell me."
Dani's whole body shook and accidentally opened her mind to Zander's so that he could see her memory.
Dani walked down the street in between her parents, laughing and talking happily. Then there was an explosion on the giant bridge in front of them. What happened next was kind of faint, all Dani could remember was her dad trying to hold up the bridge with his Superman-like powers as she stood frozen to her spot. Then her uncle came. Her dad couldn't hold up the bridge. He fell, dead before he hit the water. Like Falon. Then her uncle turned to her and her mother. He laughed. He gave them a speech of betrayal, then shot her mother in the heart, stabbing Dani. The memory went dark. That's what happened before the torture. Then she realized that Zander had seen it. "Zander–"
Zander stopped her by pulling her into a hug, a tear ran down his cheek for her. He wanted to say something, but couldn't. What could you say to help someone who had been through that?
Dani sobbed quietly. "That was just the beginning." She choked out, snippets of screaming and fire ringing through her.

Ace smiled at them, "I think those nurses were looking at my abs." he smirked at Blake, "They looked at my stomach a lot, like it was interesting! Weird right?" he patted his bloody wound, "I don't think it was the hole in my chest."

Dani sighed. She decided not to fight the memories anymore. So she clung to Zander for support as she went through the memories, forgetting that her link with him was still up.
Dani snapped awake and looked around. It hurt so much. She was in a cell. Her hands were chained to the wall, and there were injuries all over her body. Her uncle came in with a murderous grin. "Tell me what you know about your father's secret project child." When Dani couldn't tell him anything, he burned her. Or stabbed her. Or killed someone else. Or put a Black Death on her. Whatever he felt like doing that day. The same thing happened for two months…………….

Zander comforted her, as the images, memories, and feeling streamed into his mind at an incredible pace. He sometimes lost himself in it and could help but to see her pain, and only be able to comfort her.

Macha got up, slipping into the common room and sitting down next to Cruz. “Hey.”, she said softly.
August flopped the turkey sandwhich on the plate in front of Cruz, and sat down across from him. "Eat," he urged.
"Not hungry." Cruz sourly declined, picking up the sandwhich anyhow and taking a bite. Augustus watched him with a weighted frown. He hated how dismal and hopeless he was, but.. August was doing all that he could do. The rest was Cruz's responsibility.
Cruz turned his head, becoming silent and blocked off now.
Macha sighed sadly, giving him space and turning to August.
August held his lips in a purse, mouthing an apology for Cruz's distance.
Macha shook her head, mouthing that it was okay. She shot a worried glance to Cruz.
Cruz silently ate his sandwhich, sightless eyes flickering as they followed passing thoughts.
August turned his eyes downward.
Macha wiped the tears forming in her eyes. She cleared her throat. “So, where have you guys been?”, she asked August.
